  • She was dropping her son off as school. Her son was still in the car. She drove into the bus lane accidentally. The officer's response was that he was "scared she was going to run someone over" .. while her son who goes to the school is in the car. You could verify that in a 5 second radio call to the front office.

We need to re-think policing in general if cops are allowed to enforce their worst fears instead of seeing what's actually happening.

  • Cool.

The process of synthesizing it is inefficient and expensive. Companies have gone bankrupt trying to make it profitable, so it really doesn't seem like that's an answer here, especially when we have cars that don't require any such fuel already on the roads.

    Sure seems easier.

  • midnight

Oh no. Do you mean Midnight for each monestary locally, or do you mean when it's midnight at our prime monestary that it is cast? Three are in the time zone an hour ahead, and seven are an hour behind! They need to happen simultaneously for it to work!

  • I'm trying to say that eventually there won't BE another gas station, and we have to prepare for that. Progress isn't always a straight line, but I'd still rather be moving forward than digging our heels in with something we know we can't use forever.

  • Y'all should read 'The Jungle'. The main character tries to solve every problem this exact way, by doubling down and repeatedly telling himself, "I will work harder."

Mild spoilers, but it doesn't work out great for him until he finds socialism.

  • Don't forget shampoo!

My D.A.R.E. officer made sure we all knew that shampoo is a drug because it's a chemical compound that physically affects our bodies. I definitely had fewer issues with drugs after learning that I was already a 'drug user'.
