  • I don't think its fair to characterize itcall as laziness. I wanted to vote in my state's Supreme Court election, but the booth was in a megachurch; not super workable for me as a trans woman.

    Thankfully, Wisconsin's court flipped anyway.

  • No you're right, we've probably done more classification than necessary. You can only label every micro difference between people so deeply before it's just more effective to just use their names and personalities.

    That being said, I think there's use for some degree of labeling to ease communication. In my case, what I'm experiencing is a concrete issue identified by countless psychological and medical organizations; and a target for prejudice. It'd be nice to have a precise term to communicate that.

  • Liftoff woukd be nice if I could actually log in to my account. I'm all for FOSS where possible, but the software has to actually work. I'm in the same place with video editors for instance. I run Resolve because Kdenlive was giving me issues and Olive isn't up to snuff yet
