  • Big tech made me do it. I wish it were the standard procedure.

  • Worlds longest water slide. That's how gravity works right?

  • I wish the whole project was a little bit more clever with its names. Matrix and Element are not unique enough names and can cause a lot of confusion.

I like the project though and still hope it continues to succeed.

  • To shit on something that isn't sentient that doesn't want to be shit on. Possibly the ground where it can be used as fertilizer for plants.

  • I think you will need to make the transition from negative nihilism to positive nihilism.

Aside from that I don't think I'm really convinced that interpreting the quantum wave function collapse when observed as the world not being loaded when you aren't looking at it is accurate. Even our best explanations could likely be a misinterpretation of what is really happening.

This channel is great by the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP6iyVJ70OU

  • Whatever increases the net happiness in the world. 🙂

  • I agree that is a really valuable position to be in, but you would still need to maintain your reputation or else they could all leave. The website itself is mostly insignificant and its popularity has everything to do with its reputation and userbase.

  • Federation shenanigans would be my guess. If you were on instance B and moderating instance A then instance B admins would have control of your account instead of instance A admins. So if for some reason instance B admins decide to ban that user then they are prevented from moderating for instance A.

  • It looks pretty cool, but I can't help but feel that a really catchy name for a service is important. I wish it weren't true as it is such an insignificant aspect of an entire platform.

Either way I'm going to sign up and check it out.

  • Even before Twitter was purchased it was in a really delicate balancing act of profitability. Any misstep that seemed slightly too much had advertisers and users leaving and the opposite meant Twitter couldn't make a profit. Perhaps anyone purchasing Twitter would tip that scale with anything they tried, but Elon here instead of walking back his decisions when they don't work keeps doubling down.

  • I find it really difficult to believe there is any benefit to him buying and killing Twitter for billions of dollars. It would have to be extremely contrived and possibly a really well kept conspiracy.

  • Oh I see it now. Normally when this meme is used they have this character be correct, but this time she is being incorrect.

  • I might be misunderstanding this image, but it seems anti-nuclear by suggesting even modern designs are basically as dangerous as Chernobyl's reactor. I know nothing about nuclear reactors so I have no opinion on the matter.

  • Air conditioning costs have been ridiculous this year. I have had to both run it for longer and electricity costs more.

  • Just overlay every single watermark ontop of eachother.

  • Is this really even a meme? Just seems like some random slice of depression.

  • Why can't they make phones with flat backs anymore? Why the needless protrusion so it can no longer lay flat? Add in more battery if you have to.

  • Single monitor setup coming through. 🫠

  • Cars are the worst. What a terrible blight on the US.

  • Just the proposal by Google to DRM the entire internet had me de-googling as much as possible. What a crazy world.
