Aggressive imperialism i much easier to spot and much harder to defend, both within the imperial countries and within the exploited countries.
It's not like America was just "too nice" to do the imperialism outright before, it's that after decades of direct imperialism it realized that it was much easier to do it less-directly so that was the better focus.
You're right. Ukraine will take Moscow any day now and then they can force Russia to surrender on their terms. They definitely won't just lose more ukrainian lives and territory.
Have you never heard of "RINOS"? Republicans attack Republicans they don't agree with just as hard if not harder.
The problem is, the Republican party actually rallies around what their constituents support because they know they need their base, while Democratic party expect their constituents to rally around what their leadership supports because they take their base for granted.
Democrats are only necessary if your goal is to maintain the illusion that America is a democracy which serves the people while maintaining the status quo.
Democrats are a net negative. What is necessary is something we don't have and haven't had, a true leftist party. The lack of that necessary party is what has led us to this current situation.
The Republicans being bad doesn't make the Democrats good. Especially when they are complicit.
