  • The best way I've seen anyone put it is that by the time the election arrives, you are exclusively in damage control mode. If you want actual change, you have to have it done by getting your personal choice voted in during the primaries.

  • "the echo chair" that's not a thing (at least not in English). And if your not failing, that would imply that you are still in history class, and maybe you haven't learned about world war two yet, in which case you should probably refrain from talking about things you don't know yet.

  • I think it has less to do with their attitude on sex, and more to do with the availability of actual porn. I'm an older millenial, and even I'm of the opinion that full on sex scenes very rarely add anything to the plot. Implied sex is often more than enough to do the required plot advancement. If I wanted the sex specifically, I'd just go watch porn.

  • Businesses generating their own power is not anything new. The big auto manufacturers used to do it back in the day, and if you scale down the concept, every windmill (the grain grinding kind) and waterwheel built and operated for profit is the same thing. I'm just happy that Google is seemingly having their own built, instead of getting taxpayers to build it for them.

  • Most of the "what if" scenarios that I've come across focus on what if the Nazis hadn't attacked the USSR when they did. If Germany was fighting on one front at a time, the question becomes does Germany take the UK, and if so, does the US directly enter the war at all?

  • Infiniti has the best center stack of all cars, and that's a hill I am willing to die on. Screens for navigation, radio, and car settings, with physical buttons along the sides for common HVAC, etc controls.
