It depends on who writes them, I guess. More "modern" software come with pretty good and concise manpages, meanwhile stuff like the coreutils still have manpages that feel like an incomprehensible mess.
Absolutely nothing. The fact that they had to bring up a totally irrelevant 3 year old issue during an event that is supposed to be celebrated tells you a lot. They have been blatantly brigading various communities just for attention, and probably to get the dev cancelled or something. Quick Cursor. Not FOSS, but it is a huge quality of life improvement now that phones screens are getting bigger over time. It displays a virtual joystick which functions similar to a mouse to reach all areas of the screen during one-handed use. This is basically essential for phones with huge screens.
