  • It's baffling because usually companies have to be forced to give up monopolies by the government

  • They've been making Windows look more and more like a console OS for years, so I've been expecting something like this

  • So the guy in charge of Amazon's video games doesn't understand video games. Sounds about right. I was already skeptical of what they could pull off after the New World fiasco. I don't think we'll be seeing anything other than the video game version of Amazon's stolen and enshitified products

  • A pineapple leaf on its own could be any kind of long thin leaf though. It's only on a pineapple that they're obvious

  • Depends on where you live. We don't have any oaks where I grew up. I couldn't tell you what their leaves look like

  • Being able to reproduce it from memory is different from recognizing it though

  • I used to live in a place like where you do now. There's a chance you'll run into someone cool, but it's very low. I had to move to the city to form an actual friend group

  • Any time you would use "They say," like "You know what they say," is referring to the general populous

  • Businesses keeping bankers hours, especially banks, should stop immediately. How could it possibly be a good idea to only be open during the main times that no one has free time to run errands? Why do I have to use PTO to go to the mechanic, or the doctor? Why can't these places, which require you to visit them in person, be open during the days and hours during the week that people actually have time to visit them in person?

  • You can blame Star Trek for this one. They're constantly having to deal with Dampening fields. And the only time it was actually a field that keeps things wet, Tom got in trouble for fixing it 😞

  • If Shakespeare can change the meaning of words, so can I

  • Used to work at a local resort. One time, Kid Rock rented out the whole top floor of the hotel, and requested no staff go up there during his stay. Of course, it's a hotel full of minimum wage teenagers, so intra-staff communication is abysmal. A maid ended up running into a naked Kid Rock holding a bag of cocaine lol

  • And the state pays $70 million. Google isn't even paying for most of it
