  • Bitcoin is the first in a huge series of crap for speculation, but it's not the whole thing. A good example is several central banks that are creating their own cryptocurrencies, centralized and generally fundamentally opposed to that.

  • That's not my point, I haven't tried to convince anyone to trust anything nor have I minimized anything. I don't know if you're a troll or just want to argue in bad faith, but I'm out.

  • I think it's that one. I certainly won't say it's a panacea, but I assume it would have solved the OP's case.

  • How did you manage to twist a truism into a fallacy? You shouldn't make these claims, because if anything arguably you used a hasty generalization or fallacy of composition.

Not all cryptocurrencies are bitcoin nor do they work the same at all. For example, many don't even use "mining", which is the source of bitcoin's outlandish energy waste. I really have no interest in discussing cryptocurrencies, but at least don't do so in defiance of common sense.

  • This has not been the case since at least w10, it has a tool to automatically clean several temp files and recycle bin.

  • That's idealistic, unless you really think you can convince most people to stop eating meat. I hope someday, but I don't think I'll live to see it.

Sure it's expensive, but that's typical for new tech. It's not unreasonable to expect that it will end up being accessible to most of the population.

  • A realistic one to apply to our societies? Yep, if only there was...
Luckily, there are some promising middle steps.

  • The "non-fake" meat is extremely wasteful. Lab-grown meat still has many problems, but at least 99% of the calories are not spent on keeping a cow alive in cruel conditions.

  • Hehe, this is why modern feminists are a joke, criticizing sexism while praising sexism.

  • COOL! Anyone who refuses to surround themselves with too many people of any identitarian group should never hold a position of power. It's great that they rule themselves out.

  • The easiest way to appreciate the progress of both would be to go to some timelapse on youtube, like this one.

  • I don't think you don't appreciate what has happened so far. Occupying a terrain that is almost impassable, unusable, of no strategic or tactical value, etc, is not significant progress. When they overcome that terrain and establish a real bridgehead, capable of fortifying, expanding, providing logistical support, etc, it will be significant progress.

  • It may become so, but it is not yet.
I wonder if there are precedents for creating one slowly for weeks, with the passivity of the enemy.

  • Also with some losses, no significant progress on either side and everything going at an extremely slow pace; basically a stalemate... for now.

  • It is possible, but without access to elevated permissions I gather it would be basically useless for anything other than per app redirection.

  • Nope, for that you should use something like Redirector, but I don't think it allows random instance selection.

  • They often appeal to victimhood for nazism, but ironically their lack of critical thinking, criminalization of victims, tolerance of systematic ethnic discrimination and crimes would make them perfect nazis; they were just born in the wrong time and place.
