  • NP just means the algorithm to find the solution takes longer to run than verifying a solution is correct. If verifying the solution is easy then shouldn't there be a way to find the solution easily? That's the P=NP problem. NP-Hard does not mean the problem is hard.

  • Question: What sort of instructions have you given to your caucus and candidates about wearing MAGA merchandise or using MAGA slogans?

Paraphrasing a little here because the annoying streamer pauses every two words to interject with something like "wow!" or "muh muh muh muh" making it difficult to actually hear the answer to the question.

Poilievre: The instruction is that we put Canada first whether that means standing up to American aggression or against the destructive Liberal policies that have made us weak and helpless and reliant on the US. I also made it clear we need to unleash the free enterprise system to reverse the destructive Liberal policies of the last ten years of taxes that have made us weak and supported extremism so we can restore the Canadian promise.

  • Trump has claimed a few times that, in order for cars to be approved for import in Japan, they must be able to withstand an impact from a bowling ball without denting. It's not a real thing. When the White House press secretary was asked why Trump made up such a weird lie, she said it was "obviously a joke".

  • I feel like there's always been a culture of boys and young men who didn't respect women, there's just never been podcasters actively promoting it.

The internet allows idiots to broadcast their message worldwide and social media promotes the most controversial stuff in order to drive engagement and, more recently, to promote a culture war that keeps the populus divided.

  • My guess is to maintain plausible disability. A foreign government assisting you win an election isn't illegal if you aren't aware of it. It becomes illegal when you know it's happening and do nothing to stop it.

  • You can learn those things any time. Do you mean your goal is for your income to be from games/webdesign/art? In that case you can always join a company. If you mean you want to independently create and sell your works it's going to be very tough. You're essentially starting your own business and most business startups fail.

  • Screw anyone who says Stardew Valley is a cozy game. If I don't water my plants they die! If I stay up too late I'll lose money! I can't get the fish I need unless I fish at 6pm in the mountain lake on a rainy Tuesday in winter! Abigail has once again dominated me at the egg hunt! Ahhhhh!

  • There are definitely improvements that can be made in this area. I'm all for requiring transparency about what exactly is being purchased, like the California law that requires informing the purchaser if they are buying ownership or a licence to access, or Steam's store page requirements to list all DRM, third party accounts, anti-cheat, etc. However, this initiative is vague, doesn't suggest any actual law changes, and its promoter seems to be more into the idea of data hoarding than consumer protection.

    From the initiative:

Videogames themselves are unique creative works. Like film, or music, one cannot be simply substituted with another. By destroying them, it represents a creative loss for everyone involved and erases history in ways not possible in other mediums.

This has nothing to do with consumer protection. He's even said in a video that he wants the genre of gacha games to end. I play gacha games. Why does he get to prevent me from playing games I like? I thought we were protecting consumers? I feel like this cause is like the PETA organization. It's definitely a great idea in general, but they're going about it in an extreme way.
