not OP but similar situation. My Linux desktop is just more snappy, despite being 5 years old (and the work Win11 laptop brand new). I already have customized with my shortcuts and apps. I don't have to listen to the fan spinning up every time I open a new window (exaggerating a bit, but not much). Also I am not tied to work filters. If I want to read the news online for 5 minutes in a coffee break I don't risk being monitored and potentially evaluated. But really, I've been a Windows and Linux user for 20-odd years. I've always found that Linux installed on the same hardware of Windows is just smoother and faster. Windows is getting so much bloatware (from MS or enterprise apps) that it doesn't even have a fighting chance.
TECHNICALLY (yes, I'm fun at parties) you need 3 commands, as you also need to do an "apt update" after adding the repo.
But we can chain commands of course. Do chained commands count as one? We could debate that for hours. Like why I prefer vi.
Had a shit boss and company owner years ago (and they were two different people, just to be clear). I was mid-senior in my field. At last straw of incompetence and greed I looked for a new job. Handed over my resignation two weeks later.

You have to set up proper routing, so the two vlans (your mobile/pc wifi vlan and the tv vlan for example) can communicate.
But you don't give Internet access to the tv/thermostat vlan, so they can't "call home" and send all kinds of tracking back home.
Without going into details to avoid giving out ideas, think the concept of script kiddies for example. Doing harm for no reason. Or with more experience doing harm for personal gain
Hum, I hate to be that guy, but the good (experienced) bad actors have multiple profiles curated exactly for this reason.
There's a reason why companies require proof of identity and a background security check.
