  • Gamers mad at women and attractiveness. This is a really hard combo for them.

    Nothing new.

  • I remember being a minor before twitch. Watching porn on the internet wasn’t the task you’d think it was without twitch.

  • Defending civilian ships from drone strikes is ‘imperialism.’ Lol. Y’all sure love drone strikes now. So edgy.

  • Wild pigs don’t exist though. They’re invasive feral pigs. And eating them is the right thing to do after killing them. And they need to be killed for ecological reasons.

  • Yeah that’s why we just say soda water.

  • I love sour candy. And I find warheads to be pretty weak. So I ordered these once. But holy shit these are gnarly. I think I had two and my teeth felt weird and my tongue was raw for a week. It’s was just too much. Like I was dissolving my mouth by having just one.

  • The amount of money in circulation isn’t decreasing though. Wages have increased more than inflation, almost every month in the last year. Especially for median wage/salaries.

When they say strong economy they are talking about spending, jobs etc.

The answer is in the first few sentences:

    Housing crisis

  • Drones kill a lot less civilians than shelling does. Russia and Israel are straight up shelling entire cities. US does not.

  • When borrowing rates are lower than investment returns borrowing just makes good financial sense.

I could pay off my home loan today, but at 2.5% interest why, when I can keep that money and leave it in a safe high return investment? I’d be losing 10s of thousands a year in returns for my retirement to save a few thousand in mortgage interest.

    Same thing with cars.

Then again, I don’t even buy new cars. I just get a dependable used Japanese car and drive it until it dies at 300k miles.

  • I bought a house with an extraordinarily beautiful view. And I can say without a doubt it’s definitely made me a happier person.

Years later, and still enjoy that view as much as I did the first day I moved in.

  • The comment you are replying to is misinformation. The 500k is for preliminary steps like EIRs. And you are jumping on it to reiterate your preconceived agenda without checking.

The real moderates are the ones who equate both parties at every step. Even against 8 billion of actual funding of an essential government project.

  • Trenitalia high speed rail in Italy is the best high speed rail I’ve ever used. It’s both government funded and privately owned. It’s a lot more complicated than just private vs public ownership.

  • Uhhhh…

…any level 4 car actually, according to the federal governments and all the agencies who regulate this stuff.

NAVYA, Volvo/Audi, Mercedes, magna, baidu, Waymo.

Tesla isn’t even trying to go past level 3 at this point.

  • Have you ever towed anything? Towing a trailer of that size and weight with a car like that, even if legal, is sketchy as fuck. Especially on hills or mountains. Where I am from its legal to take that picture, it’s not legal to get on the road. For good reason. A capable truck is much safer for that purpose, for everyone.

  • I live in a blue collar neighborhood. Big trucks owned by tradesmen/women everywhere. They absolutely use them frequently for what they’re capable of. Some of them have a second cars for groceries etc. but I’m glad there are not two cars for every truck because parking would be a bitch, and wouldn’t save much gas. If they were to rent for the “rare trip,” it would be the grocery store. No one is gonna rent for a grocery store trip when they can just happily drive their truck. The store is closer than the rental agency.

  • Have you seen a 2003 Ranger? They’re objectively small unless you are comparing them to a mini cooper or an 80s Miata.

  • No this is the social media website called lemmy. If it’s not about games, Linux, or coding you’re gonna get lots of disinformation.

  • I can put my tools in the back of my truck cabin. And have the entire bed ready for materials.

I’d also never want to go over 40 mph or get on a suburban freeway in a Kei truck. You will die instantly in an accident otherwise. Their are zero safety features. And they’re not comfortable for any trip with any distance.

Kei truck is for people who work for the metropolitan city and never leave, or a university, or a golf course. Not a private contractor.

  • In this case it’s not about body shaming but about shaming a means of compensation. Also it’s not really a literal take. “Big dick energy” has nothing do with actual dick size. And being a “Karen” has nothing to with a persons actual name or gender.

  • Is being able to die the only variable? Seems like a comparison of only the extreme.

Having a few glasses of wine a week with food is fine. Harmless even. Smoking a joint from time to time is fine. Harmless even.

Being dependent on any psychoactive is harmful to one’s mental health regardless.

I wouldn’t want to be a stoner or an alcoholic. And the fact that one daily addiction might be less harmful, by some metric, is meaningless cope.

You’re more likely to die walking down the street than you are while gambling. Guess gambling is a fine addiction, the safest addiction even, while walking is bad habit.
