  • How is it possible to keep it free?

The devices of our free VPN customers are used to create a secure peer-to-peer network that our commercial clients can use to securely route their traffic via various global endpoints. As a free client, you will likely not notice any impact on your resources as that happens. The data transferred in the background will be metered by your mobile operator according to your data plan.

  • If you don't want to be tracked, don't go to reddit. Being able to block Google servers won't do much except that it gives Google information too.

Reddit can still track you via IP address and fingerprint every device you use. Reddit also now blocks VPNs unless you sign in. Signing in also tracks you.

Try a Libreddit instance and see if you like it. But it seems like you are very particular about UX so I doubt you will like it.

  • This is just my opinion.

There were only 50 employees in BlueSky in 2021. She was probably one of the few people that started a company out of those employees. That's what I got from her Wikipedia.

I'm gonna guess is she is liked by her coworkers, she does well in presentations.

Also bluntly, her background of being Chinese and Swiss is a good look if they plan on marketing internationally. Her age probably plays a big role. No one wants to follow a company with a CEO that's too old or too young.

  • Even though Google Search is turning to crap, most people would still choose Google Search if prompted to choose a search engine.

As for Google Play Store integration, this might lead to Android phones having to choose a store in install like picking a browser for Windows.

  • I taught computer science a long time ago. I have a tendency to simplify concepts to be more easily understood. Most people appreciate this.

I don't even remember what it was I was trying to explain, maybe database sharding.

I was accused of mansplaining when I took the time to answer someone's question in a meeting. So from that point on when that person that accused me of mansplaining was around I just gave direct definitions. If that person had additional questions, I gave the vaguest answer possible, I repeat the question as an answer, I basically tell them to Google things they should know.

What is SEO? Please look it up. We only have a certain amount of time for this meeting.

  • Nintendo picks and chooses who they sue using their copyrighted images. It's bullshit.

A tech YouTuber got a strike for using a intro screen to a Nintendo game. He did this before. The difference was he was talking about the Mig Switch.

Makes me wonder if they will ever go nuts and just copyright strike every Youtuber that helped them advertise their games for free for decades.
