  • I had more upvotes than that comment at the time I deleted it

It took half a second for me to edit the comment, it's not that deep bro, why don't you just leave me the fuck alone about it. This is why I did that, so i wouldn't get a bunch if fucking notifications for stupid shit like this

God damn lemmy is still a shit hole worse than reddit. You chuds act like me trying to delete a comment is sin worth attacking someone over.

  • Why are those your expectations, then? Seems kind of illogical to look at a system with a history of not that, expect it, then be mad.

You can say it's not right for it to happen, but to be expecting it just makes no sense at all. Again, I'll reiterate, you can argue that the system is fucked and needs to change, but, again, expecting an outcome with evidence that it won't happen, then get mad, is asinine

  • Because I realized the other user wasn't going to discuss logically, they were going to use false equivalence and after I replied I found it pointless to try and discuss with someone who would do that, so I tried to delete it, except I still was getting replies, so I edited it

  • I used to make graphic art in Paint.net myself, anyone who thinks photoshop has anything special is objectively wrong (we're going to ignore generative AI tools)

The benefit of photoshop is that's its more refined in what it does, not that it does anything extra that these foss tools can't do.

The tooling has years of iteration by paid developers and there are a shitload of high quality presets and brushes and, again, refined use case specific stuff, but yeah GIMP is just as viable as a software to achieve most of what photoshop users online who shit talk it can do. The only people whose opinion even matters is professionals who require photoshop to make money for their bills. Everyone else is just blowing smoke out their ass about it because they think having a better tool automatically makes them better.

  • It's a multifaceted issue thats predominantly socioeconomic. Urban areas are less likely to have greenery, brick and asphalt and concrete make the areas much much hotter than an area with green coverage or even just dirt. High rates of obesity and heart disease, poorer quality food resources make it difficult for the body to adapt.

In some places, GOP policy has made it legal for business to deny water breaks, and if we're going based solely on statistical distribution of labor per group, blacks have higher rates of outside/physical jobs, another systematic and socioeconomic issue.

The third issue is that in these areas, health care is often poorer quality/under funded, even when they do get to the hospital/ER/urgent care facility, they die at higher rates of similar diseases than other areas.
