  • Well, valve and AMD have worked together on this. Apart from that, steam is a DRM platform and there is a lot of tracking going on all the time (also during login) and in games. I don't know what the rights look like anymore, because there was a change at steam once, but steam itself should still have root/system rights somehow. In other words, it wouldn't be a problem that anti-cheat solutions could act outside of their prefix. Maybe valve is trying to get publishers to support them with a platform they can trust. (Of course i could be complete wrong)

    Gameindustry. Good stuff against tracking.

  • Maybe the Hardware? Easiest identifier for the deck would be the same hardware in any deck.

The question is whether the publisher will then press the brakes and generally deactivate linux support in the event of a bypass.

  • I did not respond to the OP's statement. I merely corrected your statement, as an extremely large number of articles are copied from somewhere these days. Which is absolutely no secret. International articles that are then chased through a translator and then published without being read. including nonsense from the translator.

The terrorizing then takes place later with copyrights etc. between publishers and the public. Yes, DRM is already terrorizing

  • Based on the fact that I haven't lived under a rock for the last 10-20 years. The more the internet expanded the more sources there were to copy from and since then it has increased greatly. Sometimes you only need to search the headline and you'll find several "sources" < I mean in general and not related to the article

    and

    • xorg.conf entries

    Section "InputClass"
            Identifier "joystick catchall"
            MatchIsJoystick "on"
            MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
            Driver "joystick"
Option "StartKeysEnabled" "off" # Disable mouse support of joypad
            Option "StartMouseEnabled" "off"
    EndSection

"You'd need to replace/add the MatchProduct directive in your xorg config file with something like this to disable the touchpad:

            MatchProduct "Wireless"
        MatchProduct "Controller|Adaptor"
        MatchProduct "Touchpad"

Edit: dont know why you get downvoted. sad cause was just a normal question

  • You shouldn't just be there because the woman is important to you, but above all the child. From that point on, it shows that he's not in the mood and is more focused on his hobbies. So he can't separate himself from his shitty technology at such important events and maybe just read a book or something...

I feel bad for the kids future

  • Yes ok my mistake, despite * I am of course not talking about files with e.g. .css extension but only the browsers with chrome* as name. :)

Edit: Above all, I don't want to imply that Firefox and co don't use system resources just as wastefully. But they are still the better choice.

  • As soon as you know that the first cat will only stay within the apartment, it is best to have two and make sure that they understand each other and do not fight.

But of course it is never too late. Above all, you should be able to reach the previous owner at any time. That you can return the second one at any time if they don't get along. The back and forth may be stressful for a short time, but it's better if they don't get along. Since you have a cat, I would also tend towards a tomcat (they like to cuddle more than cats) but sterilize if you don't want any offspring.

Edit: btw with returning i talk about 1-~15 days

  • Arch was my first choice precisely because of the learning curve. As soon as nothing works with the other distros the user is completely overwhelmed because just like on Windows he is kept stupid and away from bash etc....

No, with every other "used" friendly distro I had such massive problems... and their wikis and other help end at the arch wiki anyway.

Edit: Btw I don't want to talk down the other distributions in any way. It's just my personal opinion. Especially since Arch Linux is not out for stability because of the rolling release, users naturally save themselves the trouble with distributions that are primarily out for stability.

  • Reason is as example bambu. Prusa and the other open source player's doing the development and off has the development cost. So now there the closed source manufacturer which picking their printer from the open source work. Has no development cost.. its not sharing anything for the open source community and ofc can sell their printers for so much lower. This destroys the open source community

  • Now it would be interesting to know what the market looks like in the east. Despite sanctions etc., the parts have also ended up in Russia and it only became known because of these TikTok warlord wannabes... But what about those that are not known? Musk certainly doesn't give the impression that he's worried.

I mean, 2 years ago you could have bet that the vehicle that can't stand the rain and has to stay off the road won't be spotted on a war zone and tjoa the world goes crazy. Welcome to the Matrix. /s (? im not sure if sarcasm or the sad attempt to explain the decline of humanity since maybecorona. )

Maybe we will read in 1 week/month that Musk is suing the population because they use the products of the competition and thus commit treason to ruin the country's own production. Anything is possible with megalomania.

  • No, don't forget. As a German, I just wasn't sure how things worked in America. It could have been different. Hospital bills only drive one person/family into the abyss. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

  • Yes, people who believe in electric vehicles but not in the company or the person. Tesla was the first to establish itself and was permanently in the media in the West. Many people didn't find out what the market looked like but went by what they already knew.

So all the Musk fanatics are sticking with Tesla.

( you make more money with the dumb folk.. so in long term the musk fanatics)
