  • Eh, not caring too much about frame rates can be healthy in terms of how long you go between upgrades. Which could have a knock on effect of forcing devs to more often consider weaker builds as people don't upgrade as often

Just depends on how you approach it. If you have relatively new parts, then yeah, you should expect at least 60 FPS. If you have an older system, then the only thing that matters is that it's still enjoyable

  • My fuck, if only the Democrats had the balls to use the Republican's own tactics against them

"Oh so since a president is, according to you, immune to all laws even after no longer being president, then Biden can just order a hit on Trump and all of you? Because as long as Trump isn't arrested and left unable to run, that seems to be what you are saying. You have til the end of May :)"

  • Wasn't it more that Seinfeld cemented and standardized many concepts, rather than invented them?

Regardless, doing so or even creating an entirely new genre doesn't make a show good. In fact, often a piece of media that makes an entire new genre or cements/standardizes a lot of concepts for a genre can suck because it's all new or hasn't been standardized yet, so there is a lot of floundering around to figure out how it all works

  • I left Reddit when they messed with the API stuff, then settled on kbin, using fedia and lemmy a bunch in addition

Definitely a different, nicer vibe in the fediverse - Actually can use the front page instead of hiding in what I'm subbed to, and there is a lot more thoughtful, varied content overall

Assuming decent conditions and luck (nothing saving you from a severe infection gotten because wrong place wrong time), likely a fair few decades. I have a lot of survival knowledge, both theory and practical - and I refresh myself on a regular basis
