  • But the cheap no name brand stuff from Amazon still come from the same factory in China. Only difference is you’ll get it in 2 days, pay more even though Amazon workers are underpaid and overworked and just make Bezos richer.

All the cheap no name brands are just the same Chinese products. One good example I have is, last year I got a knockoff Apple Watch band from Amazon as a gift for Christmas which was $10. Since it was the wrong size I bought one myself from AliExpress. When it arrived it had the same packaging and product number on it. Only difference is that it was $1 and took 2 weeks.

If you don’t buy cheap no name brand stuff from Amazon then this doesn’t apply to you but from my experience people buy the cheapest product and hence temu became popular.

  • Not sure what you are looking for but I can easily buy the same stuff on eBay or Walmart or directly from the retailer. I do a search of Amazon and then google the same product to look at different website options.

  • I’m thinking the same thing. Came here to the comments to see if someone mentioned it. I don’t get why they can’t have an electric stove.

Cool idea but it’ll only work out for people who don’t cook and eat microwave or take out meals everyday.

  • This isn’t new to Apple. A lot of companies want to save money so they offer to pay for your phone or give you some other incentive. In my previous job, people who were around for 10-15 years had given up their personal phone and were using company phone and number. When they left they took their work phone with them. They got a new phone every 24 months but they had to install the company MDM software so basically gave up their “privacy” to save money. The cellphone plans aren’t cheap so they probably saved $1000 per year just for cellular connection alone.

  • Fox News is saying that the tariff “threat” has made Canada and Mexico to act on stopping the illegal immigration happening at the borders and that’s how Trump gets the job done, even before he is in office. I have not fact checked so I don’t know how much of it is a coincidence and how much the Canadian and Mexican government are freaking out about drug and illegal immigration control.

  • Maybe they end up selling enough. I wonder the same thing about the snowfox sushi sold in grocery stores. They have a shelf life of 1 day and the shelves are always full even before the store closes. They can either break even or they are running at a high loss.

Also, I don’t know if the raw milk is sold in regular grocery stores. I have never seen one.

  • It’s a combination of minimum security requirements and features of the OS as well as the developer of the apps. WhatsApp stopped supporting older iPhones and my parents had to upgrade their iPhone5 which is over 13 years old now. I used to use my old iPad mini 4 only for Zoom until they stopped updating it and now my iPad is useless after using it for 9 years. Zoom blocks it at a server level so there is no way to bypass it.

  • Apple TV handles it the same way. Netflix doesn’t work because they want you to open the app and scroll through multiple rows to resume watching.

Are you required to subscribe through Prime or can I add any subscription?

  • Apple TV has the “Up Next” feature which helps as the latest tv show episodes from all your apps are on the Home Screen. Even when you search it gives options from different apps. However, it’s painful for me on a mobile device to have so many apps installed, which take up a lot of space.
