President has the right to nominate more judges. And with control of the Senate, they could have been sworn in. He wasn't helpless, he just chose not to use the power he had.

I mean, he's not. The vast majority of the loans being forgiven are ones that should have been forgiven anyways. Like ones where the people went into the public sector and paid their loans for 20+ years. These loans were supposed to be discharged. That was the arrangement these people signed up for. Bureaucracy essentially held them hostage.

Sorry, but I don't give credit for finally agreeing to a broken promise and then treating it like it was done out of the kindness of their hearts. They should have been discharged years ago.

Well the first was overjoyed to have some autonomy back and used his time to play a game of Civ.

I'm a bit confused by this statement. The religious cult stuff takes place in like the first 15% of the first book and is then essentially dropped. What part were you ok with then? Just the 10 pages of Bob 1.0 before he got hit by a car?

Definitely do! If anything, I'm underselling just how much content it adds. It's even set a few decades after the base game so it really is like a full sequel.

For those who fondly remember FTL and think they got everything out of it; I highly, HIGHLY, recommend getting the Multiverse mod. It's essentially FTL 2 and adds an absolutely insane amount of content. Seriously, it's like 10x bigger than the base game. Dozens of new ships and equipment, several new races, hundreds of new events, new paths, new victory conditions. It is amazing and has really breathed new life into such an awesome game.

He's not distracting from anything, he's distracting from EVERYTHING. The man careens around from controversy to controversy like a drunken mule on stilts. It's not some master plan of distraction, it's that no one can focus on the shit he's breaking if he's still busy wilding careening around. By the time people are talking about something insane he's done or said, it's old news because he's already moved on to something even more insane.

One thing to note with all these articles; so far, there are no major comprehensive studies that definitively show microplastics are a danger to the body, or show what levels are considered acceptable or not.

Considering the entire world population hasn't just collectively died in the last 50 years, I'm leaning towards the effects of microplastics being negligible, or at least a hell of a lot less dangerous than other established risks like processed meat or direct sunlight.

If you can get your hands on a 12th gen Intel CPU, they are some of the best. First gen with the new architecture and they over engineered the hell out of it because they didn't know what it could handle. They scaled WAY back on the 13th and 14th gens, which is why you hear about so many issues in those processors, but not the 12th gen.

To me a good Scotch Whisky is an event drink. Drink it to celebrate, drink it to mourn, share it with friends, or hoard the whole bottle to yourself, just as long as there is some some triggering event that warrants it.
