  • I don't know about the .ee instance, but the .world one tends to have every post downvoted to zero and every comment stating why conservatives are wrong. I try to keep my ear to the ground and know what crazy talking points conservatives are believing and the .world sub is pretty much useless for that. I don't think there's a single conservative that actually uses that sub.

  • What pressure? No major businesses were against it and most seemed to support it.

Oh wait, you mean public pressure? The thing that hasn't existed and no politician has cared about for almost a decade? Why would that matter? It's not like the public are the ones bribing donating money.

  • Cherry picked and edited to give bad answers. Go play around with any of the big models, you'll be bored and disappointed because 99.9% of the time it will give you exactly what you ask for.

Except Gemini. Gemini is a drunk.

  • In digital art, the image itself is not your expression. The idea is, but comparing the choice of shaders you use with brush strokes done with real paint, where you can see and feel the emotions the artist wanted to express with their physical brush, it's just so... less art?

  • People sometimes come up with things they think are clever, but don't have the time, money, or energy to present them in a meaningful way, so they instead make a shitty AI image of a billboard to get more attention than their words would otherwise.

  • Yeah, sport events like that normally work with emergency services so that there are alternate or controlled routes for things like ambulances and fire trucks.

Meanwhile highway protests can block emergency services with no forethought. Imagine your parent died of a heart attack because EMS couldn't get past some people blocking a road in a protest meant to inconvenience the general public who mostly already agree with their overall goals.

  • Most media portrays Nazi's as evil fascists with a deep, seething hatred towards Jews and other persecuted minorities. However, Hans Landa is so unsettling because he doesn't hate the Jews. We aren't watching someone driven by emotion or even personal ambition. No, this man does his job for the simple reason that he's good at it. He's precise; clinical. He orders the deaths of the people in hiding as casually and as detached as someone tidying up their desk space.

And that's what makes it all the more terrifying. It's seeing man incredibly skilled at his craft, who takes pleasure in the simple act of a job well done; it just happens that the job is hunting human beings. Not only is he not blinded by hatred, but he uses that lack of hatred as a tool to become even more efficient at exterminating them.

That kind of cold detachment sends hardwired signals of danger to the audience. By the end of that scene, you know you are watching a true monster. One that would just as easily shake a man's hand as he would slit their throat, and never lose a minute of sleep over it.

  • Please find me a statement he made saying it was just a harmless wave, because unless I missed something recently, he has not said anything of the sort. He hasn't denied making the salute. He hasn't claimed he meant something else. He hasn't said that it was a lie or a conspiracy. A lot of groups and the media have made those claims for him, but Musk has yet to deny anything.

That's the whole point of OP's post. Musk himself has not made any statement contradicting the Nazi narrative.

  • Rastafarianism killed Bob Marley. He had an infection in his toe that got bad enough that it needed to be amputated. He refused because it was against his religion and the infection wound up killing him.
