  • The team was just heavily under funded when it was still managed by the Williams family. There was no money to change anything. Former drivers that have visited the factory have all told that it felt like they had traveled back in time, everything is outdated at the Williams factory. They were stuck in a downward spiral. They couldn’t build a fast car to get into the points because of the outdated factory, which meant they didn’t get a lot of prize money and also couldn’t attract enough sponsorship money. Thus they didn’t have the money to improve the car for the next season. When the team was sold to an investor group they finally got enough funds to turn this sinking ship around.

  • Embracer is a joke. They could have just bought Nintendo stock and have a better ROI. Why did they bet it all on videogames? It’s like they haven’t looked at other publishers’ massive buying sprees of the past. Non of those were ever successful. Like EA shuttered or sold so many studios within a decade after purchase. Even Disney failed at it.

  • If the Overton window keeps shifting right what is considered far-right ideology today will be mainstream right wing ideas in the future. Just look at Europe, parties that were considered far-right parties twenty years ago are now gaining popularity (LePen almost won the presidency in France) or even winning elections (PVV has won the most seats in the Dutch parliamentary election)

  • Yeah but have you ever coded shaders? That shit’s magic sometimes. Also a pain to debug, you have to look at colors or sometimes millions of numbers trough a frame analyzer to see what you did wrong. Can’t program messages to a log.

  • Nintendo will never drop their prices since people keep buying their games at those prices even long after the release date. Switch has an attach rate of 8 games and most of those games are Nintendo games. When people buy a Switch for the first time they buy it with Nintendo games. Nintendo isn’t competing with anyone on their console, hence why their games rarely go on sale.
