Key word is "when" because currently they are throwing blows with Iran. But to answer your question, probably never as we would need a near apocalyptic event to tumble our current power structure everywhere to allow us to hold them accountable.

I remember a couple of months ago it was reported here that Google was making Android closed-source and I commented that this will be the end of custom rom's and this was received by the community poorly as many stated that they would still be releasing the code but not their AOSP apps (or something like that) but I already see the writing on the wall. Google doesn't want to be open-source, they where in the past because that gave them free coders to fix their shit and make them more profitable, but now they just want our data and the open-source community is against that, so they are closing doors to the community in order to be able to truly make money with people's information. Wouldn't surprise me if the next Pixel in the works is going with a similar approach as the iPhone and only allow for an eSim as well.

I never knew about this. I actually hope all our troops know about this also.

Case in point

Any clothing brand that is just expensive for most individuals to buy (ie. Gucci, Michael Kors, Lui Vutton, and others). These are all made incredibly cheap and flimsy, and you are just paying for the brand. Most of the wealthy will either buy the same brand but from their exclusive collection (not available to commoners) that are actually well made and durable, or will buy other brands (ie. John Lobb, Schaeffer’s, Frette) that actually last so long that they can be passed down if wanted. Lastly, when you see someone famous or wealthy appearing on the spotlight with something you can buy at a store (mostly super expensive like a Bellenciaga) they are lended to them for the publicity alone.

I just personally prefer to dress like Adam Sandler most of the time.

Honestly, while I can still get information (of any kind) I won't quit, just use it less. At the very least, I'll use it to download DRM free music, movies, books, and TV shows and consume them offline locally.
