Just before Hyenas was cancelled they jacked up the price of DLC for the final game in the very popular total war warhammer franchise with less content. The allocation of resources to Hyenas is also taken as part of the reason the third installment in TWW was so buggy

Not the really the point of your post but I personally tend to use journalctl -fu something.service. That brings you to the end of the logs for that unit and I get to smile about flipping off systemd.

As a fan of total war warhammer this is so sad but also so cathartic. Its sad that this is how CA and Sega executives treated their employees and their IPs, but cathartic because it proves that the community was right and we were being gaslit. Pour one out for the community managers who the execs used as disposable flak vests for all their shitty decisions.

I dont think you're right about that. Browse through the steam deck subreddit and community here and you'll see plenty of posts of people using the steam deck for work and productivity as well as gaming. I myself use it both as a console and as a laptop more or less. Its a very nice portable Linux desktop

The reason this doesn't work is that Nazis without opposition are a danger to any community. When not surrounded by many times their number of counterprotestors they are likely to find a member of a targeted minority to hate crime. The protestors are there not just to show that the 15 Nazis are not welcome but also to protect anyone who might otherwise find themselves alone facing 15 violent Nazis.

It showed up as you replying to me talking about shift change at hexbear so idk what you want from me man. You can pretend I am a hexbear that inexplicably posted about wanting to defed them days ago just so I could gotcha someone, but I'm just a Linux guy who would rather we didn't use racist terms.

Perhaps you should click my profile before talking out of your ass. I am a lemm.ee user that explicitly supported defederating Hexbear in our meta thread on it. I'm not super fond of how they participate generally, but they are quite right about this one.

Ah yes, the good old "We have so many problems that its better to just ignore them than try to fix even one thing." There is so much hateful language because even if you use a cartoonishly naive take that racism ended with the civil rights act, that is still almost 200 years of racism shaping the way we talk about things. It takes some time to undo 200 years of racists inventing terms and trying to pass them off with winks and nods. It will take a whole lot longer if we're so lazy as to not even make the attempt.

Oh no, you got me. I solo wrote the Wikipedia page describing the origins of the term and its racist roots and all the citations linked from there, especially the ones written before I was born. I'm also personally sock puppetting the dozen or so accounts telling you you're wrong.

No, there are just a metric shit ton of English words and terms that hail from our very much more racist past, and we would like our speech to reflect our values and not the values of our KKK grandparents.

Its a term invented to make fun of specifically Asian men customizing their cars. The implicit connotation is "your car is bad because it is customized for looks and not racing, like an Asian person would." It shares the same roots as incels calling Asian incels ricecels.
