  • Decentralization is cool but unmoderated spaces tend to attract the worst kinds of people.

Someone else commented that one of the posts on seedit is titled with the n-bomb which proves your point.

It's also not clear to me if a seedit user can control what posts they seed. The last thing I'd want to do is seed a post that has thz n-bomb as the title. No thanks.

  • I read the plebbit whitepaper a while back and it's definately a cool idea. It rubbed me the wrong way that it uses ethereum (for something I can't remember) as part of it's tech stack though.

I like that it uses IPFS, and I think lemmy should too in some capacity.

  • Oh boy I see crazy runs in the family.

Schlafly became an outspoken opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) during the 1970s as the organizer of the "STOP ERA" campaign. STOP was a backronym for "Stop Taking Our Privileges". She argued that the ERA would take away gender-specific privileges enjoyed by women, including "dependent wife" benefits under Social Security, separate restrooms for males and females, and exemption from Selective Service (the military draft). She was opposed by groups such as the National Organization for Women (NOW) and the ERAmerica coalition. The Homemakers' Equal Rights Association was formed to counter Schlafly's campaign.

  • Ah ok so that's what a fountain pen looks like. I can see how it would add to the writing experience as it's more personalized/stylish.

At some point in my life, way back in college irc, I stopped writing cursive and over the years forgot how to do it. Cursive or not, my handwriting has always been atrocious looking.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!

  • Welcome to the fediverse! I quit reddit back in July-ish 2023 during the api shenanigans and haven't looked back. I'm optimistic for the future of the fediverse!

Are fountain pens the type you dip into ink? Is there a technique to writing with them? Can you do writing things with them that you can't do with other pen types?

  • Elon Musk. President Donald Trump’s extremely online lackey has aimed plenty of ire at Reddit from his perch at DOGE, first attacking the federal workers he’s been firing en masse for discussing the chaos on r/FedNews, then expanding his purview from there.

Fuck fElon, fuck spez, fuck trump, and fuck the american oligarchy.
