  • This is how elections work for everyday criminals, and if people are being imprisoned for the actions of Trump, then why is Trump exempt from those rules?

Criminals cannot vote except in select states. And it isn't like the people haven't fought for those rights. Republicans have put stops to them.

This is more of a problem of Republican policy, eating at Republican actions.

  • I would have thought they would want to get to the bottom of that ASAP now that Colorado basically banned Trump from the ballot.

That being said, it sounds like they would rather have trump in Legal Limbo, then to get Colorado back.

  • “Seeing what happened in Colorado makes me think—except we believe in democracy in Texas—maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing eight million people to cross the border since he’s been president disrupting our state,” Patrick said.

Texas and Florida have been bussing people out of states. They already have a solution in place for this called "Dump your troubles onto someone else."

The last time they actually put this into practice, Florida's construction, agriculture, real estate, and education labor force all dropped. DeSantis had to repeal his own law and give raises just to get migrant workers back.

The problem isn't that migrants are crossing the boarder, the problem is that the republican solution is outdated. We need a more managed and modern way of controlling immigration.

  • Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) said Sunday that the United States needs to accept that Ukraine will likely need to “cede some territory” to Russia to end the fighting.

The problem is that if you reward Putin for his efforts, you only empower him and dictators like China and Iran. China will go after Taiwan, and Iran will go after Syria.

Because after all, they don't have to beat the US military, or even war exhaustion from the people. He just has to outlast the greed of the American Senators.

Which compared to the 800 billion we spend on the military, or the $300,000 you can bribe a senator. It would seem that Russia has chosen the more economic approach.

  • I think Putin needs a straw man right now so that he can use as a punching bag for the elections.

And what better one then the opposition you have locked away in your basement.

I don't think this will save Putin's reputation, but I understand the strategy.

In his way of saying "Who will you vote for? This man that faints in my dungeons?! Or me, the one who will send you all to die at the Ukrainian front for questioning me?"

I don't think the people of Russia will give an honest answer. But I think that is the point. Because mathematicians are standing by just waiting to analyze last years approval ratings with this years.

Because even if you can rig an election, how much you can rig an election is very different.

I imagine those numbers are going to tell a story of Putin's disapproval across Russia.

  • It makes sense that they would take the position. It is just odd that the effects of global warming hasn't hit their populations either.

How long could they insulate their populations from the worst of it?

  • Hey guys, it's me again, I just wanted to say I'm still a child mascot for uncontrolled weapon violence.

Hey, if you give me like $500. I'll bounce around like a kangaroo and pretend that I am defending gun rights, when all I did was treat a protest like call of duty match.

    Rot away in obscurity.

  • I am not sure a matter of survival is "Willing"

People might not be willing to eat french fries off a McDonalds floor. But they will if it is the only food for miles.

Families are eating the extra costs, because they really don't have a choice, when the other option is homelessness.

  • Things will get more expensive to ship to Russia. which will hit the average consumer's bottom line.

Which will add more pressure to stop this war.

That being said, I am more concerned I don't hear anything about it on the Russian side. Is the government quietly eating the extra costs to ship things? Or is consumer goods not shipped by rail?

  • A formal impeachment inquiry vote on the floor will allow us to take it to the next necessary step, and I think it’s something we have to do at this juncture.”

While comforting that the republicans feel another fishing expedition would yield result, this is was what was promised last time.

That there would be undeniable proof Biden was corrupt.

And it yielded nothing. They had full access to his bank records/ taxes and couldn't find anything?!

Either I have to assume that Sleepy Biden can hide his secrets better then the whole republican party, or I have to assume that the republican party isn't competent enough to find the evidence.

  • . The authorities insist that those conscripted for mandatory service are not being deployed to Ukraine.

Sure..... and Micky mouse is my uncle.

While Putin said there was no need to round up more, his mobilization decree is open-ended, allowing the military to call up additional reservists when needed. That decree also banned volunteer soldiers from ending their contracts.

You can stay if you like, but you can never leave.

  • Republicans: 30+

Oh, and his wife is the one of the Co-leads for Moms for liberty.

His wife, Bridget Ziegler, is a founder of Moms for Liberty (M4L), the parental rights organization that has been at the forefront of efforts to ban or require parental consent for certain LGBTQ+

And apparently, bi, or getting cheated on by a bi couple.

Sources told the publication that the woman accusing Ziegler “alleged that she and both Zieglers had been involved in a longstanding consensual three-way sexual relationship prior to the incident” and that the incident occurred when Ziegler and the woman were alone at the woman’s house.

  • It means stuff like heating/food will become necessary to the Russians. The Russian Meat waves are going to be a lot slower, and easier to spot with thermal.

Russia will need thermal clothing for it's soldiers to outlast the winter. Maybe even thermal masking clothing to just stay hidden.

Many will die of hypothermia regardless. Fires will be too dangerous and make encampments easier to spot.

However there is a solar storm going on, so communications this week are going to be a bit fuzzy for both sides. I fear it will hit Ukraine a bit harder then Russia, but it's not like Russia has a good system of communication anyway beyond: Go here, take this hill, stay there until dead.

  • The approximately 40-page document, which the Israeli authorities code-named “Jericho Wall,” outlined, point by point, exactly the kind of devastating invasion that led to the deaths of about 1,200 people.

Then, in July, just three months before the attacks, a veteran analyst with Unit 8200, Israel’s signals intelligence agency, warned that Hamas had conducted an intense, daylong training exercise that appeared similar to what was outlined in the blueprint.

“I utterly refute that the scenario is imaginary,” the analyst wrote in the email exchanges. The Hamas training exercise, she said, fully matched “the content of Jericho Wall.”

So they did know. They even knew the plan of attack and still did nothing.

At best case, the officials in intelligence that made that call should be fired for incompetence. At worst case, for letting it happen.

  • The problem is under a dictatorship no one can really tell you things are bad, until that problem boils over into another generals line of authority.

Which for Russia, they are finding out, that even if they win this war, they will have to scale down production because they won't have the manpower for that production in 20 years

Which means even if they can hold Crimea, they won't have the production to work Crimea as well as the Ukrainians.

  • Looks like this isn't even their first rodeo either.

They lost their last leader in 2019 to:

Fournier's Students for Trump co-founder, John Lambert, accepted a federal plea deal in 2019 and was sentenced to 13 months in prison for a wire fraud scheme that collected over $46,000.

They are withholding financial details because they claim "The leader handled the finances" Which looks like to be an ongoing investigation.

    Con men and liars.

  • Nikki Haley has devolved into Koch Pawn.

I am surprised that her talking points earned her that nomination, they must be super desperate.

If her talking points become more moderate, she could become a contender for Biden. Good thing that won't happen.

  • “When supply chains are smooth, prices fall for goods, food, and equipment, putting more money in the pockets of American families, workers, farmers, and entrepreneurs,” the statement added.

The problem is that prices never fall even when supply chains are smooth, it isn't like Kelloggs or Nestle are going to lower their prices because the costs of moving stuff and buying stuff is cheaper.

That money goes right back into profits.

Unions have helped a lot with this problem, but it has only helped people with a union organization.

And it really hasn't fixed the core problems in America.

Americans need to see some kind of relief from these companies that are apart of our lives running smoothly.

  • I think a large part of us assumed that people in power wouldn't cross red lines that had existed for decades.

Which was a terrible assumption for democrats to make. Especially when they controlled the house, senate, and presidency in the Obama era.

That being said, let's call a spade a spade here. Democrats have been fighting to return Roe v Wade in many states. And Republicans have been standing against it, to the point of fighting their voters on laws they voted for.

  • Prosecutors said Taylor, a Vietnam native, approached numerous voters of Vietnamese heritage with limited English comprehension and filled out and signed election forms and ballots on behalf of them and their English-speaking children.

Keep in mind he still lost his election.

While it’s incredibly rare for fraud to affect more than a handful of votes, the frequency with which Republicans do it isn’t a coincidence. It’s a direct result of a party that is undermining democracy at every turn and—importantly—telling its voters that the other side is going to cheat anyway.

It's more of the "I am able to cheat, so everyone must be cheating" Logic that gets people into trouble. Then they realize that they are the only ones cheating
