  • He's not going to win, but a shocking concept of where a political rival aligns with your ideals and you "Want" to vote for him.

Versus a candidate that abandons those ideals and blames/gaslights you for not supporting their off moral behavior.

  • I do apologize, I probably should have added more context between my posts.

A candidate like Cenk Uygur. 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% of preventing a genocide

Letting genocides slide with no repercussions: 0% of preventing another genocide.

  • Standing up for a candidate that aligns with your wants/needs? 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% chance

Letting genocides slide with no repercussions: 0%

  • But don’t vote for “Genocide Joe!”

I feel like a large part of this is blaming the voter for something they didn't ask for.

Democrats: LA LA LA! I'm not Listening, vote for Biden or lose your democracy.

Democrats: La La La! I'm not listening, vote for Biden or lose your democracy! Also we're going to smuggle some weapons for Israel free of charge!

Someone this morning suggested voting for Cenk Uygur.

He's not going to win, but a shocking concept of where a political rival aligns with your ideals and you "Want" to vote for him.

  • To imagine that the republican party would defund itself to save this criminal.

  • Why on earth do they have a monthly subscription on something people maybe use once every 1 or two years?

Who is actually going to pay a netflix sub to see marginally bad data that often?

Like Netflix I understand if you cannot help yourself.

But is there a band of computer nerds out there, that I don't know about, that want play by play updates on how a graphics card is preforming compared to others? On a monthly basis?

  • Oh no! My outdated political takes and league of legends rants are going to be used to train AI!?

    We're all doomed!

  • That probably not as true as you think. While yes there is radiation, the radiation would not linger as the atmosphere would dissipate most of the radiation

The EMP would shut off electronics for whatever country this thing is detonated over. Dependent on yield of course.

And of course the blast wave would knock many satellites, maybe even ISS, into unpredictable patterns. Most will burn up in the atmosphere, some of the most durable satellites will not. Some will ricochet to other satellites. It will be a regular FFA of countries trying to dodge space debris for the first 3 hours.

When the dust settles and citizens are without news, or internet, or sports, or podcasts, or entertainment what will happen then? I imagine not many citizens US or otherwise will be happy with Russia at all.

  • I don't think Russia is stupid enough to launch a FFA nuclear strike against every nation's satellites. While the USA has a bunch, China would lose a bunch, India, Russia would lose the ability to operate drones.

I just don't see a situation where Russia does this and China is just indifferent and sides with the country that destroyed billions in satellite equipment.

  • So pro life, they'll make women die for it.

They are for a genocide in Gaza

They don't care that Ukraine lives are being lost

How does this group own anything that is pro life?

  • Most of Florida will ignore this for 2-4 years, then some hurricane that breaks records will chart a line straight through Florida then things will go from bad to worse.

Insurance companies that have been acting shady will be vindicated as they will not have to pay billions for housing rebuilding.

The general public will have to mass migrate up north as housing and general logistics will be a much harder strain.

Which will be an even bigger issue when the housing market in Florida crashes.

  • Why doesn't Israel take it up with the humans right court or the UN?

File a case, say the UN is supplying Hamas terror cells, provide evidence, Bam! Slam dunk case, and you earn the benefit of the doubt on the world stage.

    Unless.... there is no evidence?

  • True.... but also there are safety mechanisms that shut off the flow of methane in events such as this. As the last thing you will want is combustible methane on your facility fire that was just bombed.

  • Something happened to CNN after fox news had to pay 878 million dollars from the dominion lawsuit.

They went from pure left wing commentary, to giving trump a platform to spread more lies.

Then they just started running with it.

Now they are stuck with left wing staff, required to argue for right wing talking points for their right wing audience.

  • The sanctions block the individuals from accessing all US property and other assets.

They also prevent them from using the American financial system.

I wonder what percentage of the Israeli settlers are using the US financial system or even own US property.

The wording is also a bit vague, Do the bombs that we also sent Israel count as our property. Or are they officially Israel's?

Also, who are "the individuals?" who invaded the west bank? Do we have group names?

  • People seem to be completely unaware that before Israel bombs a building, it calls cell phones in the area and warns people to leave.

If Israel shut off the electricity into Gaza, how do they charge their cell phones?

Nothing makes Hamas happier than more innocent Palestinians killed with Israeli weapons.

    Then stop doing it.

Israel is running into Gaza like a Fuze player on hostage gameplay, and wondering why the hostages keep getting in the way of the bombs. Either it is stupidity or maliciousness.

When it should be treating this like a gang or mafia that has infiltrated the population of Gaza and using them as unwilling participants.

People also seem to believe that every time a building is destroyed, there are never any Hamas members or weapons or tunnels.

People don't understand shit. Me included. In fact, me the example. However, people can empathize with human suffering.

People have eyes and can think, maybe Israel should stop bombing indiscriminately. Maybe Israel, should tone it down a bit?

Then Israel says stuff like "Yo dudes, we are going to wipe out Gaza and every civilian, man, woman, baby, child, dogs, cats, sheep, salt the earth."

It doesn't inspire any confidence you either don't know what you are talking about, or don't know that Israel has a completely different philosophy from what you are arguing.

  • I hope more facts come out about the situation. There hasn't been much credible evidence published yet. It feels very reactionary for something we can amount to finger pointing.

Which is to obfuscate the fact that people are starving in Gaza, and shutting off food aid will not make that situation better.

  • Unless we are going to go purge style on nazis?

    ....

    Right.

Well if we aren't up for that, we might as well work together to address common issues.

Mainly that asylum seekers are traveling to get to America to find a broken system. We can blame on each other, and finger point, but this system broken because of a lack of compromise.

And it isn't like we can't just twist the nobs of power to allow more immigrants later on once we have more stable footing, a wider majority, and a better designed immigration system.
