  • He's also slightly mad because he now has to compete in a labor market where people can choose between:

A shitty waiting job that has you flying out of town daily, pay is about as much as a gas station clerk, has you dealing with some of the craziest ideologies on the planet because no one respects your authority. High Stress, low reward situation.

Then you have work from home: Right off the bat, you get 2 extra hours back from your daily commute. If you have kids, you are now saving hundreds of dollars monthly on child care. Car care costs go down. Gas costs go down. Less stressful situation, and more mentally stable.

The problem isn't just that he is having to compete with work from home jobs, but he is now having to compete against the benefits of work from home. And there is only one way to do that: $$$.

  • Less Evil, is still evil.

Besides, it is not like people can't multitask, this isn't a zero sum game.

I can hate the fact that Americans don't have paid family leave, or sick leave, but we send billions to Israel because we are scared of other religions.

I can also hate China's policies on Uyghurs basically enslaving them and putting them in concentration camps.

  • So now I have to prove my geopolitical stance on an engineering and logistics problem?

I can only give the facts, what people do with the politics is their own prerogative.

  • It means we don't have to go to the Congo or through Russia, China, or others anymore. Which is a pretty big political relief because it means that we have a little bit more resource independence.

Maybe even a way we could compete on the global market if we play our cards right.

If they're smart, they'll use it to beef up our power grid for the global warming shock.

Unfortunately, I imagine @poopamo is right, and this is just going to beef up someone's bank account. Or rot in a warehouse.

  • I think you are being unreasonable in that argument. It's not like they have the oil in cargo containers and can transfer it from one ship to another outside of port. The oil IS the ship.

Sure they could dump it in the ocean? Which would be the dumbest of all options.

Or they could seize the ships, and tow them back to port. Which looks like the options they took.

  • Throw him in jail. That's it, an individual has disengaged from America elected leadership to act as an independent agent. Also known as: a spy.

Like is this even a debate? Any citizen that did this would be in a CIA black site hoping they got to see their family again.

  • That feels like a better explanation then the other theory that they are used for some form of anti-drone tech.

Would the tires do anything to protect them other than blunt the damage? Ignoring the fact that each tire conveniently has a bomb sized hole in each section?

I would imagine shrapnel would have an easier time going through a tire then through the exterior of the plane. And those bombs already do that.

  • On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova dismissed any suggestion of reopening the territorial dispute, which she said had been settled by bilateral agreements more than 15 years ago.

Strange.... I thought Ukraine had similar deals.... I wonder what happened to those agreements....?

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said publishing the map was “a routine practice in China’s exercise of sovereignty in accordance with the law.” Wang added: “We hope relevant sides can stay objective and calm, and refrain from overinterpreting the issue.”

I think the problem is the map is that you can't over interpret a map. It's pretty basic and quite clear.

What people might not get is this is pretty common for the people of China to haggle for everything. They usually will try to start from a position of power and negotiate down.

They might not understand that they are negotiating with people's lives though, and people might not appreciate the nuance.

  • You can be untouchable and still have social pressures.

Just as you can be a fly could do virtually nothing to harm a living human being, but buzz around his ear enough and they will do anything to get rid of the buzzing.

The point is to be within the law, and be annoying.

  • These "Moronic articles" places him into the spotlight.

There is very few things that can be considered an "Annoyance" to rich folk, being in that spotlight is one of them.

People like Clarence Thomas want to go on vacation and not worry about being recognized in public.

Being in the spotlight means they have to hire more security, it means background checks, it means more people in your private life, it means always looking over your shoulder because the "media" is everyone with a smart phone nowadays.

So while I would love to see less topics on Clarence Thomas that doesn't involve a jail cell. The attention on his shadiness, is the 2nd best for now.

  • In fact, Trump has publicly distanced himself from them, telling Newsmax he doesn’t know “a lot of these people.”

Wow, that is one hell of a breakup line.

Nothing quite like finding out you were the one night affair. After you just helped him bury the body.

  • So many rich people's money just to crash and burn away on such bizarre politicians.

Hopefully, the lesson they learned is to not support a closeted fascist in a democracy.

    Hopefully....

  • You know you might have a trust issue, when the Kremlin has to come out and be like, "No, Putin is really telling the truth this time. Phygozhin is super dead."

And people still have an ounce of doubt.

  • Now that he is slowly giving up on the presidency. He is starting to realize the state, he abandoned/ignored for his entire "Presidential world tour and crusade on Wokeness", is in trouble.

Needless to say, Florida people aren't happy about that. Even the quiet ones.

  • They can keep bluffing, but unless they have some way to overcome that 76% of their fuel is coming from that Indonesian strait. They are at a severe supply and energy disadvantage.

However, they are also racing the clock as more of their economy crumbles away, they will have less resources and money to fight back when things get insane. What doesn't get used now in war, will be used against him in civil war if/when their economy goes bust.

  • Only thing I am seeing on this is that two of Wagner's private jets were in the air, and one crashed over St. Petersburg while taking off from Moscow.

The other jet that belongs to him turned around and landed in Moscow airport after losing contact with the first. Which is pretty strange.

It is assumed that The leader Prigozhin and his 2nd in command were supposedly on board. As Russia state media is claiming they are dead.

However, Russia State Media has been lying quite a bit though this war, so it has to be taken with a grain of salt.

As of now 7 10 bodies have been found.

However, just day's earlier, Prigozhin was seen in Africa as if "announcing their services" to a developing situation. So why did he suddenly end up in Moscow? The one place he knows he isn't safe?!

    Edit:
    2:24pm
Wagner's media is also claiming they both died.

  • Assuming that fentanyl was in the abortion pill..... then it has become the safest way to ingest it.

    https://nida.nih.gov/research-topics/trends-statistics/overdose-death-rates

Fentanyl deaths are in grey. As you can see 60,000 - 70,000 people in 2021. That number will spike in 2023.

However the abortion pill by those same statistics, they only managed to find 9 people who took the pill and died thereafter between the years 2000 and 2023.

Note, they did not die from the abortion pill, but because of what happened right after:

    The deaths included: 9 (45.00%) sepsis, 4 (20.00%) drug toxicity/overdose, 1 (5.00%) ruptured ectopic pregnancy, 1 (5.00%) hemorrhage, 3 (15.00%) possible homicides, 1 (5.00%) suicide, 1 (5.00%) unknown. (Table 1).

Leaving us with a possible 4 people within 20 years that would have died to POSSIBLE Fentanyl overdoes as a causality in the past 20 years.

Making it the safest way you could take the drug.

Note: The following is sarcasm. Please do not take the abortion pill because you actually think it actually has fentanyl.
