He is against legalization and (ironically) claims that it leads to a higher crime rate. He's a populist and many of the things he says are just hot air, so it's not taken too seriously at the moment.

Recreational weed is already legal in Germany as of this year. Some hardliners of the CDU have claimed they want to re-criminalize it, but most people assume that it's just pre-election posturing as all of their possible coalition partners have previously supported legalization. It would be a very unpopular move with barely any support.

Not really. The conservatives have tried adopting talking points from the far right, but all it did was legitimize these stances. It actually caused even more voters to shift further right, with moderates becoming increasingly demoralized. The right will always vote right, no matter what the details of the actual policies are. The left will just further divide itself by taking conservative stances. A party has to fit a niche, and you won't get that by just taking policies from others.

The songs were even removed from the original game due to a licensing issue. Luckily there are mods to restore them.

The remake still has a solid soundtrack, though it's mostly orchestral.

I'm a huge OG Mafia fan as well (I even ran the "official" Subreddit). I thought the sequels and the remake were pretty good with the exception of Mafia 3. It was a solid game by itself but not really as part of this series IMO.
