  • I would argue the trap is in the other way. Your reply reminds me a lot of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6vjaimSK4E . You may think you know how good the average american has it but you may not understand stand the unique challenges of various americans in many different situations. Wealth disparity is the trap and the only way toward freedom is a society were it is not so extreme.

  • Free makes sense in these scenarios as you do want to encourage the usage maximally. The tragedy of the commons does not really apply to education, transit, and healthcare. There is no concern someone will get to much education or travel to much or get to much healthcare (keeping in mind there are already gatekeepers and restrictions on things like vanity procedures).

  • They would not dare assassinate trump or his vice president and the speaker of the house, senate president, along with all the cabinet members. If they did it would totally prove they follow the right god so there is no way they would do that. no way.

  • Honestly im never sure, especially with the internet, how many of those are sincere individuals and how much might be intentional trolls looking to muck things up. I personally do not know people who do not vote democrat because of they all the same fud or such.

  • Im not saying that. Its the wealth inequality that stunts society. People don't have the resources to make decisions based on whats best and have to deal with what they can afford. Lack of infrastructure and regulators results in more pollution.

  • What gets me to is retirement is disappearing but even the way we did it was a bit wierd. 40 hours to zero. Its sorta happening with retirees needing to get part time jobs but folks should be able to work in their field less. How about rather than retirement age in the upper sixties we start the process at 55 and have people reduce the hours they put in by half a day a year. Stick around to offload and train and such and by the end your mostly there as a resource to pull from.

  • Every time? Im not sure if there are any and im not sure if I could even point to a whole album for a once in awhile. Usually its a particular song. One thing I hate with digital music subscriptions is you usually get some sort of remaster and some of the albums were very well crafted and adding some songs ruins the feel of the thing.

  • EDITED - (this changed a bit while I replied but I don't like to delete things as I find it confusing later but needless thanks for expanding a bit and making it more clear that people did work for change and continue to)

who gave up? As far as the canidate in one primary we went forward but that was the start of a lot of momentum in primaries for progressive candidates. Every time I see something about giving up it feels so disingenuous to those who while working within the system still try to change it.

  • Even the billionaires would be better off without billinaires. It their relative ranking was the same they would still have more money than they could spend but it would now come with clean air, water, land, better infrastructure, a healthier world, happier people to interact with.
