  • I have had similar and yeah once secure boot was taken care of it was fine. Unfortunately these bios things are heavily influneced by microsoft and then machines that come with windows have settings to make it hard to not boot the windows parition that was put in. To be clear this is not a linux thing and actually should be a reason you would want to run away from windows.

  • I strained my left arm and its cannot reach quite as far as my right now and even then im pretty sure I was more flexible in my youth. At one point I was able to grip my hands just barely diagnoly on my back but I knew some folks that could like grip their wrists behind their back. I have long arms to so its definately a lack of flexibility.

  • With a shower just get what I can and hope the spray and soap gets whats left good enough. Sometimes will use a wash rag and I can just barely grasp the corners and get it a bit but not sure its much more vigorous than the spray. With a bath I place the luffa between my back and the back of the tub and move around. That actually should get it pretty good.

  • I sorta hate articles like this because I know if will fuel the maga/qanon/dumbshit crowd to be even more against mRNA based things. We need more articles on its use in cancer although what am I saying. Im sure they likely have some dumbass reasoning around cancer as well.

  • They had weakened the aca by kicking the one leg out and this will basically push it back to where it was. hospitals will have to inflate costs to make up for the uninsured (or just go under) and its a slippery slope back to where we were. Sucks because the aca was one of the few good things of this millenia.

  • Its said its better to give than recieve but for many folks its easier to give than to recieve. Accepting and appreciating something given in good faith is a good thing to cultivate in oneself. Unfortunately we tend to have a culture of mandatory gift giving and reciprocating that tends to result in a lot of junk being created. Its good to have something that is wanted and will be useful. Now if his friend holds it over him in some way then it will ruin the friendship but thats sorta fine as likely it was not a good one anyway, but lets hope that is not the case.

  • Its so funny that they have hid so much military work in other agencies due to the popularity in the 20th century with science and unpopularity of the military and he goes and cuts the science budget and finds he has to increase the military one. I remember dreaming about how great the 21st century would be. Entering into a new millenia. sigh.
