  • im 100% onboard to get rid of the democrats but only once the republicans are gone or insignificant. If an alternative party starts winning elections I will take that into account to but right now and pretty much since 2000 not having republicans is my main focus as well as democratic primaries. One thing is I don't think its good to vote for the democrat that can win. I vote the primaries based on who I actually want in the roll.

  • It sorta sounds to me like its about holding the mask over them which causes distress. I would sorta be interested in how it goes if they are anesthetized and then given the nitrogen. I think one reason this is not done is its just easier to go with drugs if your going to anesthetize anyway.

  • I thought the same. It helps to watch the first episode of the next generation. Will talks to wesely about it and its a rare thing at that time and sounds like it takes a lot of resources. Later episodes the holodeck using a lot of power comes up. People have to sign up for them and I took it there is no point in making more holodeck rooms than is prudent for the amount of power they draw just for leisure (mostly) activities. All the rooms have replicators but if someone was running it constantly it would become quite the power drain and we see in voyager that with no source of resupply have to ration replicators (although curiously I don't recall them rationing the holodecks, but maybe they did). As far as discovery in the future you see the energy issues and they use that programmable matter which I think is supposed to be more energy efficient.

  • you think a private residence with a front door that can be knocked on and is visible from the public way is completely private? My analogy stands. window peeping and phone tapping. If you are to afraid to let them know you are checking them out then don't check them out.

  • I mean its creepy as hell. Its like verifying their address by peaking in the window rather than knocking on the door or their phone number by tapping the line rather than calling them up. If you want to confirm something why is it bad they know you looked at their linkedin? You don't have to add them to your network and most free accounts don't generally see how looks at them anyway.

  • Its interesting. Both things you might do you don't think about and things folks do that might be neat and emulated or just seems goofy to you. I love the heat table thing from japan but I had to know about it as a thing (in this case a japanese thing) before doing it. I always sorta wish we had a more bow society than handshake touchy one.

  • us person here and every commercial segment of crunchy roll has a military recruitment ad and the ads are nuts. Granted this was made two years ago but its so orwellian. Massive effort to defund social safety nets here to give kids from poor backgrounds few options. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9gTAjbiQEM
