To Americans: How far apart is everything in the US?

  • The US is pretty big man and things are different in different regions. England is only as big as Alabama.

    In the cities you can walk to places or take much more limited public transportation.

    Every one outside of the city has a car though. Drive through banks, fast food, pharmacies, and even liquor stores are a real thing.

    My commute to work is ~40 minute drive and some of that is at 129 kph.

    I rarely walk anywhere for anything besides pleasure. There is a restaurant within ~10 minutes walk but most roads don't even have sidewalks here and people don't always pay attention while driving

    • Experienced electrical/engineer workers, what kind of jobs would be good for my skill set and experience? Advice on not getting screwed while getting back into a technical career?

  • There really is no justification for it. It's part of the American healthcare experience. It makes them money to have no downtime between patients. It costs them nothing to make you wait. They book patient appointments with this philosophy in mind and it's incredibly disrespectful.

  • Just Act Natural on steam is similar and more casual. If you don't mind the claymation style animation I highly recommend it. Cheaper, more active, and I think more progress has been made than Spy Party too
