  • Can you not use an M.2 wifi card? Or do wifi 7 cards not exist yet?

  • Apple thinks I’m a nerd (and they’re right) lol.

  • Assuming Andy Chen isn’t American, this is understandable:

“It should be obvious, but I will say that it is a false equivalence to say that agreeing with Republicans on one specific issue (antitrust enforcement to protect small companies) is equal to endorsing the entire Republican party platform.”

But it’s extremely tone deaf to Americans who live within the two party duopoly in the US, and who are sensitive to the fact that you can’t really be a compromise between the two (as politics stand, currently)

  • It’s also okay to want to take a break from a stressful career with a less stressful one. I took a break from teaching at a university to take care of therapy animals, and at year 1.5, I’ve really finally feel recharged.

  • In all seriousness, I genuinely feel like the demographics of those making over 250K/year outside of Silicon Valley (proton is from Switzerland which is a center-right country), and outside of the arts industries, is probably bare minimum of lib-center, and probably most likely to be at least fiscally conservative, if not socially as well. Those kind of people are more concerned with maintaining their financial position than the issues plaguing the income classes that the individual has graduated out of.

I don’t think you’re going to find many CEOs that aren’t at least a little right of center or self serving in their business interests.

Getting to the top 1% income bracket is a lot easier than maintaining that financial position.

  • It’s kinda simple: in large cities you can legit just change doctor office and leave behind <500$ per place and just not pay. Most doctor offices are franchised or opened by large hospitals, so the chances of fucking over an individual doctor is pretty slim. In my state, they drop calling after a while and it just disappears once they write it off.

  • Looking forward to a long coffee piss on his grave.

  • The Disturbed cover is so much better than the original that it makes the original sound like a bar cover.

  • MySpace didn’t die overnight; didn’t it take like 8 years for Facebook to overtake it? Anecdotally in my group of friends, the big exodus from MySpace to Facebook took like 2 years from ‘08-‘10

  • I still don’t understand the point… it doesn’t have games and it came out with an underpowered M2.

I can’t believe it still can’t play games rendered on a more powerful MacBook Pro… it can’t play any VR games? Not even beat saber? Skyrim VR? Like what’s the point lol.

  • Do you live in San Diego? It's incredibly expensive to live there; that said, these pays are far to fucking high even for SD.

  • Red Dead Redemption 2, no contest.

The game world is so close to feeling real… the physics and horse handling feel basically perfect. They took their time to make you feel like you were in 19th century America.

  • my biggest complaint when playing competitive character-based fighting games is that they always nerf the overperformers instead of buffing the counters. Never nerf characters, it always feels so bad to have a character nerfed.

  • My parents were mentally and physically abusive to me (CPS was called to our house multiple times and my father was on a registry with the state). I truly did not understand what was happening to me and my feelings until I was in my mid 20s. Deprogramming from abuse takes time.

I’m not saying you were abused or your situation is similar to mine, I’m just trying to illustrate that even when you logically look at things, your emotional feelings may not match up right away.

    Best of luck to you.

  • Holy lord Jesus. This is fucking awesome.

  • you know what, how about people start selling renewable resources as a solution to energy independence
