Yes, every single major release, we have to repeat ourselves on this. Tiresome!

Sure sarcasm is how we speak now, but the more you joke about it, the more you normalize and ultimately legitimize it.

It also needs a little refinement here and there - the pull to load is very short and you have to do it slowly or it snaps back immediately. Its too easy to tap the wrong thing in the compressed mode, and the slide to votes need more weight and snap.

But these are nits - its really good compared to other ios apps. I really appreciate the long-press to block some communities. Until Lemmy learns how to better filter and reduce redundancy, this has been my most-used feature (sorry, all things yiff)

Voyager user here - never heard of this poll.

Saw it last night with the wife. VERY fun, nice, twisty plot with little clues dropping in everywhere.

One thing - someone asked if it’s worth being in the cinema. I’d argue Yes, on a few points:

• It’s a dark film but there’s lots of little details to take in,
• Also it’s a film where you need to keep your eyes on it, and a distractions like a minute of messaging could derail you
• lastly, compared to Haunted Mansion, it’s good to have a logical, adult movie to see in the cinema. Even though I saw both (Haunten Mansion, under duress) I’d head out to see this just hoping it bring more smart mystery horror to the big screen

Like I said to the other fella, I got up to the series 7 before my wife took it and carried on. I bought an EV about three years ago, and for the two years before that, I read everything I could about lithium ion batteries, so I’m really cautious and careful with my tools. I know who a lot of people don’t want to think about that, but hey… It’s your money.

Same. I’m using a 7 now - my wife is still on my 0 - and I’ve no issues with the battery on the 7; I still get 1.25-1.5 days for a charge.

I think if you run the battery down to zero, every day, like on an iPhone or an EV, it’s going to degrade the batteries. I’m still using an iPhone 11, and getting again over a days use on charge. I don’t know if everyone can say that, but I’ve been really careful with never going under 20% for the battery before charging. That’s kind of how we just do lithium ion these days.

Funny - my original series 0 apple watch still gets the same amount of time as it did when I bought it on release day.

TSMC will do nicely with other companies (re: Apple, which gets most of its chips anyway). Threatening a leading manufacturer is silly when there’s plenty of other companies desperate for premiere hardware.

I can only judge by what was done - not could have been. From the first episode of the second season, it was clear lightning wasn’t gonna strike twice.
