I'm not sure if I understand what you're talking about exactly. With root I can access all files on my device (including /data/data, where app internal files are kept) and I can give permission to apps to access all files too, it they ask for it. Not that I'd want that, because it's way safer to keep user data in /storage/emulated/0 and give read permissions on file or folder level (like /Pictures for a gallery app, or just the picture I want to share for a social media app).

If you want to share data between apps, the easiest way would be to give them access to the same folder in user space. That isn't OS maker's generosity, that's basic security controls.

Did it do some form of automatic eye detection or did you have to manually select the eyes?

So that's why the choice seems to be between red eyes or tiny pupils. I have some old photos where the surroundings look really dark, the flash on the people makes them look ghostly pale and everyone has unnaturally constricted pupils. If we were trying to avoid demonic pictures, I think we failed.

I recently saw terminal access as a feature of Android 16 too, so if you have su access, that should give you all the power you need. Now let's hope root will become standard, instead of needing to flash Magisk.

Keep in mind that Frozen came out in 2013, 12 years ago. The children who were in the prime target demographic back then (4-10 years old), are teens/adults now (16-22). I was one of those people who bought Puyo Puyo Tetris as their first Puyo game, mainly to have a 1v1 Tetris on Switch. Turns out I really like Puyo though, but... 4chan has been the toilet of the internet for 22 years. They can stay down for months without it affecting anyone's loyalty. Their bigger issue has been the battle against spam making it harder and harder for normal users to post anonymously. Since they implemented the new captchas, activity went down hard and it basically killed a few smaller boards where the users were more casual and less motivated anyway.

There's a project called FChannel that implements ActivityPub, but I honestly don't see the point. What would federation add to the chan experience? The boards on 4chan were almost separate websites anyway. There are no accounts. There is no interaction across threads. The only shared part is the UI. So you could achieve basically the same thing if everyone hosted a single board with vichan.

I come there all the time and I have absolutely no interest in knowing who operates it tbh. That information can basically only be used to do harm to nhentai.

California-based rightsholder PCR Distributing, which operates under brands including J18 and JAST USA, initiated action against nHentai last summer, describing the site as a significant threat to its business.

I don't know them, but JAST sells visual novels and other software (so no hentai) and J18 is a Halland-class destroyer of the Swedish Navy, so maybe they're being threatened by the amount of KanColle doujins showing the superior physical assets of Japanese warships.

Could be lots of downtime, meaning lots of time to watch anime? But I also think there's way more weebs than people think and it's mainly in dangerous jobs like military that people lose their inhibitions, stop giving a fuck and just start bonding over whatever they like. Anime is just weird enough to be kept hidden initially, but also harmless enough to admit to your buddies.
