What was most amazing to me was the freedom they seem to have given to opinion columnists that did call things out. Just watching rss feeds on Lemmy every day and night on Lemmy showed a crazy contrast between opinion and the edited/published bulk. Which is kinda good and normal, the surprise is they weren’t washing opinion too maybe like WaPo.

Our service uses bikes in highly urban areas, but I can’t speak to the pros or cons of it as I don’t have the brain power right now. It’s a large service, but not anywhere near a significant part of the service. Urban stuff, large gatherings stuff, terrain stuff with quads and even a boat.

They carry 100lbs of gear.

Imagine being on that plane. Then later hearing you were on it with some lawmakers. And your tax dollars are no longer being used to pay people at the FAA. During a tragic year in aviation. Including the same day with six deaths.

Imagine a day when six people die in a helicopter crash in the same country as this happens to lawmakers on a plane under the same DOGE shat FAA.

I’m not saying it’s a good thing. I’m saying anyone that thinks they were gonna be able to get around to using that 2nd amendment is going to find themselves shooting at armed leopards if the Republican President uses his border order to shoot back at them in the streets.
