Is eating a lot of canned food bad?

Canned fruits are often placed in a ton of syrup and sugar. So they aren't all that great for you. Even if you don't drink the syrup.
Canned vegetables on the other hand are perfectly fine and no different from frozen vegetables. There are rarely preservatives added since the heat and vacuum is enough to keep them from spoiling.
It's important to buy just vegetables. If you buy pre-made canned food then the quality drops significantly due to the amount of sugar, salt, and fats added. So canned peas are fine, canned pea soup not so much.
Canned vegetables have a worse reputation than deserved and it mostly comes from taste rather than health issues.
But mixing up your diet is never a bad idea. So instead of just going canned goods you can consider dried goods. Dried fruits don't have the same issue as canned fruits while still having a long shelf life. There are dried apple or banana chips, dried plums, mangos, apricots, also nuts and seeds are great alternatives.
And even dried vegetables are an option. They require a little bit more planning because some of them need to be soaked over night. And beans usually need to be cooked in addition to the soaking as they are poisonous otherwise. But not all dried vegetables need soaking, lentils can be cooked immediately. And offers, such as dried peas can even be eaten as snack in dried form.
Pizza predates tomatoes coming to Italy. There is a 2000 year old fresco that has a pizza in it (without tomato sauce obviously). Tomatoes made it to Italy around 500 years ago.
And there are still pizzas today that use a different base for their sauce than tomatoes. But taste is subjective so it's hard to say if those are "the best".
Just block the account that made the posts. It's a single account so it takes 5 seconds to get rid of it all. It's what I did.

Gold, while it's unknown when and where exactly gold started to be mined the oldest artifacts found are from Bulgaria.

But you will struggle coming up with examples of others countries as well. There are few countries that invented something and are still the best at. So much stuff was just invented so long ago. The only county where this is somewhat easy is the US with some technology.
I think that article is mostly clickbait. So much speculation going on and the comparison to Afghanistan is such a stretch. There is no sign of war exhaustion in the west. People might lose interest in following the conflict because it slowed down but Russia is such a big enemy in the minds of people that sending more equipment can go on for decades before voices grow to stop it.
And the fear that any peace that Putin can celebrate as a victory would only be a temporary peace is still very imbedded into the mind of many Europeans.
Her main issue was that most of her work came from a single agency. And that's a common pitfall for freelance writers. Once that source dries up, you are left with too little to survive. But that has happened before AI as well.
It wasn't that all her clients were happy with AI but the agency got fewer clients and instead of sharing the remaining clients with all their writers evenly they decided to cut a few writers completely.
The true shocking part is, that it is practically impossible to find new employment. She was looking for several months before having to take something else to survive.
But even if you are well diversified in your clients and are constantly looking for new clients, the number of available jobs has dropped and so did the price. Meaning many writers who once got by comfortably are now struggling or had to switch career.
Probably not so much state secretes but he can provide inside on how the US military trains soldiers, command infrastructure, and probably has some relevant information on how the border is guarded.
But mostly he would just be used for propaganda. "Look how bad the outside world is, people are running here for a better life".
Download Sky Go, you only need an account to watch PrimeTV for free.
There are also plenty of streams online with questionable legality.
PC games are infested with the same issue. Especially anything that's free to play. But even plenty of full price titles have the issue. The FIFA series is one if not the worst offender of this.
Belgium tried to stop it and declared loot boxes as gambling. Effectively banning them from any game that doesn't have a gambling license. This happen back in 2018/19. Unfortunately it isn't really enforced and did nothing. But it's a step in the right direction.
The service is still available. Uber Eats and Deliveroo do partner with supermarkets and still offer grocery delivery service. They have their own issues that need to be addressed but the service is still there.
In principle I agree with the decision. Retail space should be reserved for retail and not warehouses.
I am not a city planner and don't know if these cities can do with more warehouses near the center. So perhaps there was an alternative solution but I don't want storefronts turning into dead space. This ruins the character of a city. And ghost kitchens should be next.
For mid-level writers, which she was, using AI doesn't work. The few remaining clients you have specifically don't want AI to be used. So you either lie and deceive them or you stay away from AI.
And using AI to lower prices and finding new clients also doesn't work. Writers are already competing against writers from nations with much lower cost of living who do the same work for a fraction of the cost. But the big advantage that domestic writers had was a batter grasp of the language and culture. These advantages are mostly lost if you start using AI. So if that's your business plan you are in a race to the bottom. It's not sustainable and you will be out of a job in maybe 3-5 years.
We need to distinguish between civil and criminal courts. While both have similar rates of "settlements" the reasons why they are struck are very different.
Edit: What I forgot to mention but is super important, the vast majority of lawsuits are super boring. Even in criminal court, for every rape you have 35 people committing larceny theft. You don't need to go to trial for every single minor theft. So that 5% that go to trial would be the 1 rape and one theft. Same in civil court, most are such petty boring disputes that shouldn't even be brought up to the court.
In criminal court, the main reason is, things only go to trial if there is sufficient evidence. Otherwise, the prosecutor would drop the case. So the defendant knows they are guilty, they know the prosecutor has a decent amount of evidence, and going to trial has little benefit. By pleading guilty they get a reduced sentence but are still found guilty. Only pleading a "no-contest" would mean they aren't found guilty. But the court usually has a say in whether that's an option or not. So everyone involved saves time and the "criminal" gets their fair verdict anyhow. It's not like they go free just because of a plea bargain, well in most cases at least.
If we go further and look for example at Japan, the conviction rate there is at 99%. And that's because prosecutors drop almost half of the cases. If US prosecutors would work under the same guidelines as Japanese prosecutors, the conviction rate in the USA would also be above 99%. By extension that also means lawyers have a really good understanding of whether or not a case has a chance during the trial. If there is no point and everyone involved just knows how this is going to end, involving a long trial is not beneficial for anyone. A judge is still involved in the verdict and is saying this is fine.
Of course, there is the issue of innocent people taking a plea bargain. Something that shouldn't be happening but is an unfortunate reality that doesn't relate to your question.
In civil court, the disgusting and immoral part is that so many lawsuits have to be filed in the first place. Civil court is mostly about making one party whole. Which in an ideal scenario is happening without the involvement of the court at all. But getting a verdict or judgment wouldn't do anything. It is still just making one party whole. It just takes longer. And since a lot of cases are grey areas where both parties have reasonable arguments in their favor, finding a compromise is perfectly reasonable. A lot of time there isn't 1 side with 100% at fault.
The USA is a little bit unique in that regard since it's one of the few countries that award punitive damages. And whether or not punitive damages are a good thing is a whole different discussion. Most other countries only allow reimbursement for lawyer costs in addition to the actual damages. Funnily enough, in the USA that's less common.
Australian man and his dog rescued by Mexican tuna boat after drifting 3 months in the Pacific Ocean
I don't think it crossed his mind a lot. Dogs don't deal with starvation nearly as good as humans do. Things already get life-threatening for them after 5-7 days with no food. Humans can go 10x as much. So the fact the dog made it 3 months means they had somewhat regular access to food.
If you add that the companionship the dog gave was probably invaluable. And keeping down raw dog meat is another level from raw fish. I don't think eating the dog was much on his mind.
Water, sun, and drowning were probably a much bigger threat on their lives than starvation.
I don't think he is in any danger of getting kicked mid season. Red Bull probably wants the full sweep and by replacing Perez mid season it's just going to be more difficult to be 1&2 in driver standings. There is an argument he won't be the driver next season but this one he is safe.

I am not sure which I played first but the most memorable ones are Bubble Bobble for the C64 or Goriallas on a really old DOS PC. Putting in really high velocity numbers to make the exploding banana fly through the building rather than trying to figure out an arch was my favorite strategy.
How do pirates force other ships to stop? I always struggle with ship-to-ship combat in DnD. Obviously, we don't want to give them easy access to cannons as that would lead to the question: Why aren't cannons used elsewhere? But at the same time, the ancient form of naval warfare of ramming, arrows, and boarding has its own challenges. Mostly that it doesn't translate well to the game mechanics.
First, the actual interesting part would be the outmaneuvering and positioning of ships. Something that just doesn't work with DnD rules so it has to be simplified or even handwaved. But also that ship crews are rather big. So every fight has a ton of low-level fighters involved and would just take forever without being interesting.
With merchant ships, you can kinda solve it by having a few higher-level fighters, and the rest surrender once they are dead. So you just have a regular DnD experience but with warships, you would have a crew that easily could go into the hundreds.
So the question is:
Are mages on ships just way more common and do they take over the role of cannons?
Do ships just have lower crew requirements than real-life ships would have?
As a man I never considered pants to be uncomfortable. They are the perfect mix of range of motion, hiding the private parts. and support. Dresses, skirts, and robes seem like a nightmare to wear. You either restrict your range of motion or have to constantly worry about showing your underwear. And I would wear boxer briefs underneath by choice anyhow, so I still end up wearing pants.
I think the bigger issue is that most of us men are too lazy to look for different kinds of pants and end up wearing the same stuff year-round. Which can indeed become uncomfortable due to changes in temperature. But that issue wouldn't be fixed by having access to dresses or robes. As again, some would either be too cold or too hot.
As non American with no self checkout available, what does the recipe check look like? Do you just show them recipe and they briefly look at it before waving you through or do they actually go through all of your groceries cross checking the items?
Because we still have to sometimes show the recipe to the security guards despite not having self checkout. But they don't cross check anything and the procedure takes 2-5 seconds as they sometimes sign the recipe.
The amount that is sent out is just irrelevant. Furthermore, not all immigrants send money out. The second biggest group of immigrants are from the UK, they aren't sending much money home and any they do is offset by Australians who emigrated to the UK sending money to Australia. Other immigrants even bring in more money. For example, overseas students bring a lot of money into Australia, often at a premium. The same degree costs a domestic student 45k but an overseas student 170k. The business and innovation visa requires a minimum of 2.5 million investment. While there are probably more immigrants sending money home, the amount others bring in offsets a lot of that. It's similar to tourism. Yes, Australian tourists going abroad spend money elsewhere, but many tourists are coming into the country and spending money.
With companies, the situation is more difficult. While in theory, they are subject to paying taxes in Australia and aren't any different than local companies there are indeed ways around it. Most notably, having to pay the foreign parent company huge "franchising fees" or other "consultation fees" that reduce profit inside Australia, and then the profit gets taxed in a country with little or no corporate tax. And Australian companies use the same loophole as well. Registering an offshore company isn't particularly difficult. That is indeed something countries try to work against.
Any legitimate money sent abroad is mostly offset by Australian companies doing the same. It's not like there aren't any Australian companies working globally.
The reason why most countries don't go harder against that is that it would hurt foreign relations. And the damage to foreign relations would hurt the economy more. If everyone starts to count pennies and tries to maximize their own profits, every international trade becomes more expensive.
For example, the Indian-Australia trade agreement is vastly in favor of Australia. Australia is exporting goods worth over 19 billion a year while only importing around 7.5 billion. If Australia suddenly started to make it harder for Indian immigrants to send money to India, you can be sure that India will start taxing Australian goods more in retaliation.
In conclusion, going after this hard would mostly be penny-pinching and hurt the economy more in the long term. And countries that make this harder are suffering because of it. Look at China, where it's impossible to operate a foreign business. Any business needs to have a 51% share owned by a Chinese. And while this worked in the short term, companies are now leaving China en mass and taking their business elsewhere.
With some dried fruits you just need to be a bit careful as they can really speed up your digestive system if you eat too many of them. Dried plums and apricots are the main culprits for me. They are so delicious and I could eat 10 or more in one go. Treat them as fresh fruit and eat 1-3 at a time and you will be fine.
Also get non sulfured variants. They don't look as nice and don't last as long but the taste is so much better.
