That's a pretty small job. You may get outrageous quotes because a contractor may not want to be bothered.
Materials according to the Home Depot website:
EDIT sorry just realized you said 8ft high plus a gate This will raise the materials cost a bit but you get the idea.
5 8ft long vinyl fence panels 6ft high at $109 each
= $545
6 8ft high vinyl fence posts at $39 each
= $234
6 fence posts caps at $4 each
=$24
6 bags fast setting concrete at $7 each
=$42
Total $845 in materials
Guessing 8hrs labor at $30/hr =$240
I'd estimate around $1,100 or so. Adjust for sales tax and labor costs in your area.
FYI if you want to learn basic Home owner DIY skills, this is a good place to start. It's a bit of work digging the holes but it's not rocket surgery.
Your life will be what you make of it. Fuck all the memes and the circle jerk pity party that is the internet. To be, or not to be, that is the question.
Watch the video on YouTube. Some in the crowd seemed to be trying to get riled up but besides YMCA the music was very mellow, very low energy. Do not trade mix tapes with Donald Trump
Computer nerd me loved dialing up BBS's on my TRS-80 CoCo with 16k RAM. My parents on the other hand hated getting the phone bill. 30 cents a minute in 1980 dollars was steep
When my little terrier/chihuahua mix was a puppy she would give me a "hug" first thing In the morning. I'd sit up in bed and say "time to go to work" and she would put her front paws around my neck and press her face against mine. She eventually would do it on command. Then she had surgery to correct a luxating patella (knee cap pops out of place) and never did it again.
She also used to drag herself across the carpet with her front legs, back legs dragging behind her. We would call it "swimming".
Being part terrier she is very smart but also stubborn. When our senior dog passed, I taught her lots of tricks. One trick was to ring a bell when she wanted to go outside. I rigged up a donut shapped toy she could paw that was attached to a spring with a bell on it. She refused to ring it. I know she knew what to do, she just refused. When she wanted a treat she would paw the cabinet just like I taught her to paw the bell/toy. Eventually I gave up. Fast forward to a year later. We get another puppy and as soon as I try to teach new dog how to ring the bell she runs over and slams it. From that point on she slams the bell ten times a day.
There is some history and controversy surrounding their fatal climb that makes it more interesting than the other cadavers. Caveat: Not an expert on this. Irvine and Mallory made early attempts at being the first to summit Everest. There is speculation that on their last climb, they summited before dying on their way down and had beat Edmund Hillary who is credited with being first
If you like rock and roll then I recommend Night Flight streaming service. They were running a deal if you paid for the year it cost less than $5 a month
When entering the Everglades NP my girlfriend and I were handed one of those folded maps with info on the park. Early 90's BTW. We went to a campground and set up our tent then soon decided to drive out of the park to buy groceries. On the drive out we saw a convertible pulled over to the side of the road, it's occupants looking at something. We looked and I saw the back end of a large cat walking away. My first impression was who could abandon a cat here? It will get eaten by alligators. Soon I realized it was no ordinary house cat. The brochure we were given stated there were nine known Florida panthers left in the million acre park.
Was wearing my blue Dickies work uniform while browsing at MicroCenter when a woman behind me says "Shouldn't you be at work?". I turn around and say "Yes. Yes I should "
Yeah I'm almost 60 and it was similar back during the cold War. There was no online echo chamber to amplify it back then though
