During Trump's first term, Trudeau had to remind him that Canada has the deficit in trading with the US. This is probably retribution for embarrassing him. I wish I was kidding
Huh that's really interesting. I had heard of Smedley Butler but was unaware of the plot until I watched the movie Amsterdam. It doesn't pretend to be an accurate depiction, even the names are changed but the coup attempt is the same
I'm not for it but if mandatory service were a thing the population would be more hesitant to go to war knowing their flesh and blood might be included
Laws vary state to state. I walked into a bar in rural Pennsylvania that had ash trays on the bar and the odor hit me in the face as soon as I walked in the door. Don't miss that one bit. Someone told me it's still legal in places that don't serve food
One thing that's occurred to me. The argument on the Trump side against DEI is that folks should be hired based on their ability to do a job yet the main qualification of the people he is putting into positions of power is their loyalty to him
Like everyone here in have stories but instead of adding to the pile may I offer a simple solution.
I tell people who fall this stuff to make a list and post it on their fridge. If just one of them turns out to be true they can call me up and rub it in my face. There are two reasons I suggest this. First, the people in the media who push this stuff keep a steady flow of BS incoming. They put out a new one to distract from the last one. Second, back in 2011 I realized it's like a cult and I did a little looking into what it takes to get people to snap out of it. The expert I found said there is nothing you can do, folks have to reach their own conclusions. Should any of your friends come around just let it go, don't make a big deal about it.
I remember arcades being dimly lit. Otherwise the glare would mess with you when playing a game. Also the noise! Admittedly i skipped through this video but some of what I saw was definitely from the 70's. Pinball was pretty much dead during the 80's but made a resurgence late in the decade into early 90's when they got a little more high tech.
