  • Why is it that so many people do absolutely zero maintenance on their computers, and think that's completely normal?

Clean that bitch out at the very least. Allowing dust to build up in all the little books and crannies means it's not getting enough air flow.

It's typically common sense that when your AC isn't working well, you clean/replace the filter(s) to keep it operating at peak efficiency, and if you don't, you risk burning up fan and/or compressor motors.

Same thing with your car's cooling system. Keep that radiator grill clean of mud and dirt, or it's more likely to overheat and burn up your engine.

Why the fuck don't people think of that when it comes to their computers just blows my damn mind.

A tube of Arctic Silver thermal grease is less than 10 bucks. A can of compressed air is like 20 bucks, and will typically last for months.

Once a month, take the PC case outside, and blow out all the damn dust.

Every year or so, replace the thermal grease/paste.

"My computer runs slower and slower as times goes by!" Yeah no shit, it's trying not to burn itself up. Clean the fucker.

  • There's just enough disagreement and "infighting" to make people think their guy is the good guy and the other is the bad guy.

When you look at the overall picture, however, things start standing out.

There was much complaining and gnashing of teeth by most Democrats, and even a few Republicans, when the Bush era Patriot Act was pushed through. One particular Democratic politician even ran on the promise of eliminating it.

    Guess what? It wasn't eliminated.

Same thing with war and attacking other nations on their own sovereign soil.

It's still happening, and it never stops, no matter which party is in control of the US government.

"But the other side does it more than we do!"

HOW ABOUT NEITHER SIDE DOES IT! HOW ABOUT WE MIND OUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS!

  • Tell me again what the voter turnout percentage was?

The vast majority of us are so used to our voices not being heard that we don't even bother voting. It doesn't change anything.

You keep talking about how they voted "for" this and that, without even understanding that most people in the USA didn't vote for anything at all.

  • Election results say it doesn't. Because they've alienated a huge majority of the working class. Because blue collar workers overwhelmingly vote against the Democratic party in the US.

You can call them all uneducated buffoons all you want, but in doing so, you are only proving my point that the Democratic Party has alienated them totally.

  • Do you have any idea what you're talking about? No.

It doesn't matter what rural areas vote for. They're all gerrymandered to shit just like the cities are.

The political elite on both sides have a good chunk of us fighting each other instead of them. So, congrats on falling for the same bullshit.

  • I have 4 of their motion detectors. Two of them are out in my garage, in the hot and humid deep south.

They're still working perfectly. As are a pair of Apollo Automation MSR-2s, also out there, I have the motions on the exterior walls to turn on the lights when someone approaches the garage, and the msrs keep them on when someone is in the garage.
