Dedollarization is a very slow moving process so it doesn't interrupt Chinese trade or investments. I agree there's a tangible decline but it's a very slow decline.

The West won't weaken enough in the next hundred years for it to be beneficial to China to take an interventionist role in the world. The decline of the West is more the decline of western living standards rather than economic power. It's more likely an organic revolution will occur in some western states between 2050-2100, the Chinese don't need to risk damaging relations for this to happen.

Wait what has COD been doing for the last decade? Don't they have state dept and US military advisors advising on every game for message control?

Well as long as you enjoy it. If it were me, I might consider cutting down my hours in some years so I could enjoy the finer things in life with my brain surgeon salary.

Fedora is highly overrated.

I actually do about 4h of productive work a day and ~3h of meetings (some consider that work). There's always about an hour in a day where my brain is jelly. Wish I could take a nap in the afternoons like I did when we had WFH. I was more productive with an afternoon nap.

How many years do you plan on working for?

Some suggestions;

1. license it in GPL or another copyleft license so that future contributors will contribute back to the source and not just take what they want and leave. A lot of issues with open source projects not being maintained is because people will spin up an MIT or BSD license and then people, corporate employees, etc. just grab what they want and never contribute back.
2. document all of your code ad nauseum so whoever wants to take over can understand everything easily. That way minimizes NIH syndrome or feeling like it's easier just to restart.
3. before you turn off the lights, leave a roadmap.
