Of course, it's her responsibility. She may be going overboard but she's still trying to protect her kid. Maybe she's just trying to raise awareness or set an example.

Never said it's similar to asthma, but trans people do have to take hormones for the rest of their lives, and there's a lot of disqualifiers for military service as it is. It's not like joining a health spa. It's not just the lives of trans, it's the lives of everyone in the unit. And I know that combat units won't be able to handle that yet. And you may say that they should, but you can't just throw one in there and expect them to handle it, especially when it's a job that deals with life and death.

You don't understand. You're just a virtue signaler that won't volunteer to join the military.

Do I care? Nope. But i wouldn't have a problem if there's a waiver, and keeps them out of combat arms. Can't take hormones when you're in a long ass firefight or skirmish. Can't stop evading from an enemy threat just so you can administer those meds. Convoys won't risk driving over IEDs just to deliver them.

They'd be better suited for support roles if anything.

Do you know what disqualifies you from military service? You don't. If you're prescribed pills for depression or even for being suicidal, you're disqualified for military service. You can't even lie about it, because they use a genesis program that will list everything.

I'm not an expert on the trans subject, obviously. But I know it would be problematic in the military, especially in combat situations.

I don't mean to come off as insensitive, but being a veteran, I have a different perception.

Military intelligence is an oxymoron, no such thing. I wouldn't have a problem if trans or people with asthma join, they'd have to be non deployable and have a desk job or something similar

People with asthma, flat feet, depression, heart murmurs, etc can't join the military. Why should people with gender dysphoria be allowed to join?

People who would never join the military are the ones complaining. And if they do join, they should be limited to non deployable jobs.

Civilians are never guilty. Police are always corrupt. Sure.

I'm not a big Hegseth fan, I just want to make sure no one is talking shit about his army unit tattoo. Or misidentifying his army unit tat as a neo Nazi symbol. Cause there's been a few of those already. I know that's the least of everyone's worries, and I can understand the accusations with the cross, cause every grunt I know has some kind of military tribute type tattoo.

People have died wearing that patch and shouldn't be categorized as a "neo Nazi symbol".

I know the cross has been the main focus, but like you said, he's either a devout Christian history buff or he's just a plain fascist.
