my TV responds to button presses on the remote in 10 seconds or less. That thing is like 3 years old, for a 1024 TV, you should probably aim for sub 8 second response time.

Your frustration is valid. Also calling people stupid is an easy mistake that a lot of prople make, its easy to do.

I absolutely agree. Use somthing like ollama. do keep in mind that it takes a lot of compiting resources to run these models. About 5GB ram and about 3GB filesize for the smaller sized ollama-unsensored.

Stupid is too harsh. They could be as intelegent as you or me. but... they are told propaganda/marketing, the thing is made to hide its rough edges and the hype from the propaganda machine puts people in a hazey mindset where its hard to think.

Its a hard question to answer, there is a good reason but its sevral pargraphs long and i likely have gaps in knolage and in some places misguided. The reduced idea: being emotionally open (no emotional guarding or sandboxing/RPing) with a creature that lacks many traits required to take on that responsability. the model is being pretrained to perform jestures that make us happy, having no internal state to ask itself if it would enjoy garlic bread given its experience with garlic. its an advanced tape recorder, being pre-populated with an answer. Or it lies and picks somthing because saying idk is the wrong response. As apposed to a creature that has some kind of consistant external world and a memory system. firehosing it with data, means less room for artistic intent.

Usually populations do a few diffrent things under oppression:

1. everything is fine, look at our source of pride,
2. it sucks but what are you gonna do?
3. lay flat defeatism
4. WERE FUCKING BURNING SOMTHING

Right now they want to think we live in a option 1 and 2 country. We will be an option 3 and/or 4 verry soon. They cant mask the minipulation in option 4 and cant continue to funtion with either 3 or 4.
