Don't update any arch based distro for long enough and your life will be plenty exciting when you do. Bonus points if you use a non-lts kernel that can blip out of existence at any moment along with all the graphics drivers

Economies of scale and subsidies/successful lobbying.

I've been looking at upgrading our battery bank, stationary and in temperate climate so most pros and cons don't apply.
The only one that matters to us is usable Joules per dollar. You'd have to make your own spreadsheet with local pricing but for us assuming 95% usable lifepo and 50% usable agm, agms do come out be be slightly cheaper.
However, since lifepos are expected to last about twice as long we're going with lifepos as they will be a long term investement.

If you're only looking short term and planning on taking good care of them agms are still a valid choice.

Yup. Thankfully management at my old job understood this, we had one quick 10 minute catchup about 30 minutes into the day every day and that was it. If a project required several meeting, they were all done as close together as possible over as few days as possible, leaving as many free full days as reasonably could be achieved. It worked really well

I have the og NFS MW running via bottles. It wouldn't install via isos so I installed it on a spare windows machine from isos and copied the folder over. Took a little fiddling to get the bottles profile into the right state but it is possible :)
