  • Wahl hair trimmer. Don't get the battery model. Don't get the cheapo version from Walmart. Get a mid or higher trim model and you will have it for decades. They are made in the US which is an extra bonus and maybe once every 5 or 10 years you can replace the blade.

  • That entire site is toxic as all hell.

How many people have been banned from one sub because they posted in another sub? It happened to me, and I've heard it happening to a few others. It wasn't even anything bad or offensive or controversial. It was literally just the fact that I posted in one sub, made the mods in another sub think they could ban me in this other sub. WTF? And of course there is zero recourse with those clowns.

  • Don't worry about it. As long as you don't let it get down to 0% and as long as you don't fast charge it 24/7, you'll be fine. Don't bother charging it every 10 seconds either. Endlessly taking on and off a charger is not great for a battery. If yiu have 30 mins and you know you'll need the charge by the end of the day, then go ahead. But if you'll end the day with 70% then why are you charging it every few minutes? Relax.

  • Oh absolutely. The first year of any new president will mostly be governed by what policies were signed under the previous president.

And many of times, certain agreements are multi year ones which yiu have little control over.

Either way, we have time. Yes, we shouldn't lose momentum to keep the changes coming, but holy crap we have some people in here who never step away from the internet and are fed an endless stream of over hyped doom and gloom.

  • They're all triggered into thinking the world is going to collapse tomorrow, and it is infuriating.

In 50 years, we're still going to have cars that run on gas. We'll still have plastic bags and straws. The world will not have ended.

The worst part of all this doom and gloom is that it is going to make some people think nothing can be done, so why bother. Then there are going to be some 9ther people who want change, but after a few years they will start to wonder why hasn't the environmental apocalypse happened yet and start thinking it was all a sham. You already hear that from people who grew up in the 70s when the last time this kind of thought was spreading. Back then everything was about global warming this and global warming that. We were going to boil over all our oceans and everyone was going to die. That never happened, obviously. In more recent years scientists have changed their views to the current climate change model where they state that some parts of the globe will actually get colder while other parts will get hotter. We will have more severe storms. That seems to reflect more of what is happening these days, but even the most doom and gloom scientists aren't claiming we will all die in a few short months. Yet that's kind of the hysteria of far too many folks online.

Yes, we have to do something, but relax, it's not going to all collapse by next week.

  • Fuck Reddit.

I got banned once for saying that a drug cartel head honcho deserved the death penalty (or something like that, I don't recall the details). This was after a story where a bunch of people in Mexico or some South American country were found murdered in some gruesome ways and the head honcho was caught but then escaped. You can't escape if you're dead.

So someone on Reddit was offended because I said that a drug cartel kingpin who had dozens (or maybe hundreds) of murders under his belt should be removed from the gene pool. And then to make things worse, some moron Reddit agreed eith them.

    Fuck Reddit.

  • You should be able to remove Shorts from your feed. I never watch them and yet they fill my feed up making it jore difficult to find real content. I'm specifically talking about the smart TV app which throws them all in together.

  • You're missing the point.

The point isn't to actually do it. Even though that should be what we do because up until the late 80s or early 90s, news stations were required by law to show both sides of a story and be reasonably unbiased.

The point is to turn into a huge deal and bring the media focus on their horribly biased. If Democrats could merge forces and start hearings and make speeches about the bias of their coverage, other media outlets would start to cover the fake stories and outright lies that they run. No one is expecting to change hard-core Fox watcher's minds, the point is to show just how biased they are and cement them as a propaganda media outlet for everyone else. Block them from the White House press pool. Expose them for repeating Russian talking points.

You, me and most of the people here know this. We discuss this stuff all the time. But we aren't your average American. Your average American gets maybe 5 minutes of news every day (if that). They might hear that Fox is the conservative network, but they might not realize just how bad they lie and just how much bias there really is.

Look at the huge, massive, insane big of a deal that Republicans created over Behngazi or over Hillarys emails. These were far, far lesser deals than the propaganda that Fox has been feeding Americans for decades now, and yet Democrats are too spineless to ever really attack Fox head-on.

  • People have to realize that all corporate news media is mostly anti-Democrat. Some of them are blatant, like Fox. The rest fall under the news media theme for the last few decades:

They give right wing Republicans one free-pass after another, while holding Democrats to impossibly high standards.

Next time there is a story in a regular non-Fox newspaper or TV news program that is critical of Biden, spin it around and think back if that same news station was just as critical of Trump or Bush Jr. They allow Republicans to get away with almost anything, and then when a Democrat does anything out if the ordinary or that could possibly cause a controversy, they leap on the story.

  • I agree with you 100% about how Republicans fall in-line like good little soldiers, but the fact remains that Democrats are almost never willing to go on the offensive. They will always react to whatever narrative Republicans are trying to push. And they've been like that for decades. That's why even when Republicans are not in power, they are able to control the subjects under discussion. It is infuriating. Democrats are always too willing to make concessions. Too tilling to give in. Too willing to make peace. Republicans are bullies and they know they can get their way if they make a big enough stink about things. Republicans are always quickto attack, quick to go on the offensive.

Look at the whole illegal immigrants situation. Republicans have shipped peopleto MA, DC,CA and probably a bunch of other places and each time Democrats have the same timid response. They denounce the actions and the hope it goes away and doesn't happen again. But it does happen again and again and again because Democrats aren't willing to actually go after the people organizing and carrying out these plans. Charge them with human trafficking. Make it very costly for anyone to help Republicans carry out these plans because they would he met with federal charges. Yet they don't. They're a bunch of pussies. They talk the big game and then nothing happens.

Time and time again stuff like this happens and then they never follow through because they don't have the balls to do it. Remember how right after Biden won but he wasn't sworn into office yet, there were all these murmurs about expanding the Supreme Court to include more justices to dilute the voting power of Yhomas and the other right wing justices. There was all this planning and justifying that it would be legal. Democrats even controlled both sides of Congress. Then Biden was sworn in and that plan was never spoken of again.
