  • It's like they're swift-boating her.

The term swiftboating (also swift-boating or swift boating) is a pejorative American neologism used to describe an unfair or untrue political attack. The term is derived from the name of the organization "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" (SBVT, later the Swift Vets and POWs for Truth) because of their widely publicized—and later discredited—political smear campaign[1][2][3][4][5] against 2004 U.S. presidential candidate John Kerry.[6][1][7][8] Since the 2004 election, the term has come to commonly refer to a political attack that is dishonest, personal, and unfair.[9][10]

  • And position dumbasses as role models... the willfully ignorant and screechingly loud kind.

  • Do you... relish them?

  • Am I a loser?

  • The first time I ever saw a reference to "Chik-fil-a" was on a resume, and I it made me wonder if the applicant was mentally competent.

  • When I want to see a broken mod, I just surf over to Reddit.

  • This looked clever, but I didn't get the reference. Glad I looked it up. :)

  • Conflating farting loudly on purpose with voting for Trump is really unfair for those of us who fart loudly on purpose. My farts never took away the right to get an abortion.

  • I didn't get what you were asking until I started to answer. The parameter is the angle. The algorithm is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CORDIC . In (most?) compiled languages, this algorithm is performed on hardware. In (some?) interpreted languages, it's done in hardware.

  • This is what I call a 'pro grammer move.'

  • Dude's getting as far away as possible before Geert takes over and starts 'Nexit.'

  • I don't have the most subtle sense of taste, but for me it's a nearly un-noticeable difference.

  • It does. And in a pinch, if I run out of tahini, I'll make hummus with peanut butter.

  • It's amazing how quickly the response to "that looks odd" has become counting fingers.

  • Didn't the COVID pandemic basically clear this question up?

  • That's a pretty good converter - I got 46.5.

  • The first 38K of my pre-tax income goes to renting a 500 sq ft efficiency. The change in the last 20 years is astonishing. I remember in high school, being exhorted to put aside at least $300/month for rent.
