  • Trump likes to argue 24 hrs a day

Just pick a time that's convenient for you Iran

  • Git 'em all!

All them imgrants 'n anchor babies until only the real Native Americans are left

  • There are less than 300k people named Cody in the US

It's just not a very popular name

  • Because fuck reddit

  • I do not believe reddit ever claimed not to.

Encountering enough u/deleted with [removed by reddit] would certainly lead people to believe that they are definitely capable of removing any trace of a user from the site

Just from a basic technical perspective it seems like it would be pretty easy to delete everything from any one particular originator

Doesn't even seem to be a particularly difficult thing to do in general

Not entirely sure why theat seems so odd

    What did I expect?

If a user did something so egregious that a sitewide ban for cause is warranted then it makes perfect sense that their content would be ejected as well

In my case I did absolutely nothing to warrant a sitewide ban. As a user of 10+ years I was well aware of the rules and conducted myself as such.

If they're just randomly purgining users then it would make even more sense to remove their content as well as to not leave a lasting reminder of what they did

I was genuinely surprised to find my content still up and available since they can't seem to even bother responding to my appeal request. Certainly made their action feel permanent

  • Weird, server must be getting hit hard

This keeps happening while trying to read it

  • This can't be real

There is too much punctuation and too little ALL CAPS

  • A lot of those neckbeard mods had been there from the start and are responsible for building the Reddit community from the beginning

It's no longer a community, it's just trash

  • I quit Facebook all the way back in 2015 with similar results

Leaving Reddit gave me similar mental health relief as it did when I left Facebook

  • It's okay

You would have lost 10 times as much in the next two seconds

  • Yeah, I heard that about the site and official app but having my 3rd party app Joey let me customize my feed and filter a lot of garbage out

It was working great all the way up until they shut it down

The site now is a joke, r/news and r/worldnews used to always be front and center on the frontpage. Now, it's buried under a wall of noise

  • Reddit died when they killed 3rd party apps and removed mods who protested, but it has been on the decline for a long time since Spez decided that reddit has to be transformed into something that shits money for him

Edit: Insert obligatory "Fuck Spez" here

  • I have only been gone from reddit for just over 6 months. Today I made the mistake of browsing it, there is so much misinformation, noise, and hate. After scrolling for about 10 minutes I realized that I hadn't seen anything of substance that I hadn't already seen on Lemmy

I really don't feel like I'm missing anything by leaving reddit

  • Supposedly they're meant to help prevent corrosion, but it's really more up to where the car is being driven

I've seen cars without them and zero corrosion and cars with them with serious rust issues

It just depends on how much salt the car is exposed to over its life
