Genuine question since I use Discord mostly for small groups of friends, what are you doing that is causing speed problems? I have never had Discord operate any slower than Teams an I use both daily in different environments.

Since when did people stop liking Discord? It's still so much better than any of the chat clients that came before it. I have never had any issues with it for what I use it for.

I will never go back to the days of Skype, ventrilo, or TeamSpeak. Slow, worse ui/ux, and less feature rich from what I can remember.

Also, why would use Discord's website?

Why would you tip when the restaurant just pre-charged an 18% tip? They say it isn't a tip but it goes to the employees so, unless the service staff was beyond exemplary, just don't tip. It's less than I would have anyway.

OP what kind of hole have you been living in for the past 10 years? How is it possible someone doesn't know about this and knows what lemmy is, of all things?

I use the Google survey thing too and agree that it stacks up pretty fast. I often use it to buy premium versions of apps.

That said, I really doubt the people concerned with trackers in an app would want to willingly give Google information about themselves that they sell to advertisers.

Not every company posts salary up front, so there is at least that situation.

The average cost of living is somewhere around $650 for one person, and those wages are a bit low but the higher end is above average for the country.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be paid better or more, but those wages aren't as outlandish as they sound for the country.

If I didn't use my pc primarily as a gaming pc I would absolutely be running Linux. Hopefully one day we can get there with compatability and performance.
