This is exactly the reality today. I'm old (50's). I voted in every election since I could vote. I made a point to educate myself and vote on candidates and issues that helped the working people (me and many more).
I'd ask the younger people I work with if they were going to vote and they told me it doesn't matter if they voted. And then they don't vote, and complain about laws and changes to social safety nets.
I am waiting for the young people to go vote these people out of power.
I use Ubuntu and Nvidia 3080 and the only issue I have had was when Steam updated their Big Picture Mode. I was using Wayland and it broke with the new Big Picture Mode. I had to switch back to x11 and it works well with that. I do hope Nvidia and Steam fix the Wayland issue. I'd rather use Wayland.
I have been using my Linux Gaming PC for for a couple of years now. I jumped ship with the ad riddled Windows 11. And I have been very happy with Steam/Proton gaming.
McConnell is a liar and has done a lot of harm to the US. He and many others like him should have retired many years ago.
I"m old too. I will retire from my job at retirement age. Other people could use the job opening I'd leave.
And I think Trump is a criminal/liar and too old to run for president. And Biden is just too old to run. Looks like I'll be forced to vote for Biden because he doesn't know when to bow out gracfully.
This post was all over the place McConnell is too old and needs to retire. Back on topic!
I got a PS5 and built a Linux gaming PC. I have them both connected to a big TV and game on my sofa now. I figured that I should be able to play just about anything that comes out. I don't think the next Elder Scrolls will come to the PlayStation. And I am gaming more and more on my PC. Baldur's Gate 3 is preordered for the PC. I plan on exploring Faerun on my comfortable sofa and using my Xbox controller.
And Steam/Linux works very well. And know Steam has sales all the time.
Yea the cinematics was the only thing missing in Divinity 2. The voice acting is great. I think Larian knew this when they started Baldur's Gate 3 and made the big commitment to correct this.
I have been replaying Divinity 2. I had forgotten how good this game plays and looks. AND I was watching a "Let's Play" of DOS2 and noticed I missed some areas and stuff I didn't know I could do. So much dept and different ways to do things.
I was replaying DOS2 on my Linux gaming PC with an XBox controller because I think the controller will play similar on Baldur's Gate 3.
Fun days ahead soon exploring the world of Faerun and Baldur's Gate.
I've been a fan of Larian since Divinity 1 because there was a lot of quality for that little game. And they stepped it up for Divinity 2. Divinity 2 looks so good, has great story telling, great voice acters, and many different ways to do things and styles of play, i.e. choice. So I bought the EA version of the game as soon as it was available because I felt I had a relationship with Larian and could trust they would make a great game. And Larian when up a many steps with the quality and dept of this game. They listen to the EA players and had many changes and improvements. It wasn't a mechanism for microtransactions but a great game with dizzying choices. The game was made with passion and obliously a work of love. AAA developers should take note of why this company is successful. Gamers don't want microtransactions, NFTs, small games that you have to buy the expansion to get the whole story.
Larian Studios will deserve their fame this game will bring them. Hey AAA developers, look at how it done.
We have a Baldur's Gate 3 community in the Fediverse. Come join us. @baldursgate3
I sure the trans community just wants to be treated fairy, and be able to pee in the restroom they are comfortable with. This guy is a hateful fearmonger.
But we discriminate against African Americans here even if the Supreme Court tells us not to. That didn't help us in Alabama?
