Science is fallible though. Everyone would do themselves a service to remember that. A scientific fact is the best answer we have with the available information we have at the moment. That is the beauty of science, it's willing to change if better evidence presents itself.
Not to be that guy, but this is actually the most useless advice ever for someone who genuinely has a computer problem. Like, I like Linux as much as the next person, but asking someone to learn a whole ass OS from scratch on the OFF CHANCE it will fix their issue is not great.
The biggest tells for me is the sharpness of the picture. AI pictures have an uncanny valley level of sharpness that doesn't match what actual humans would put in their art.
All of them do allow it, but not all of them make it simple. There are times it will change the search in the address bar but not everywhere else in the browser as well. Of the web browsers I use, Firefox is the most friendly to change.
I never appreciated Bowie when I was younger, but as I grew older he became one of my favorite artists. Unfortunately, by that time he had largely stepped back from performing, and later it would come out that the reason was that he had cancer. Blackstar is an amazing album but I can't listen to it often because of how emotional I get.
Counter, or maybe side, argument; the problem is that nobody has actually done it well. There is a very real difference to be made using real time pathtracing, but everyone is distracted by pretty lights.
This is probably the only time I will agree with the "both sides" take on this. My view on this is that it doesn't mean I agree with killing innocents though. People at the top doing terrible things is no reason to condemn a whole people who very likely had little say in the matter.
You really think Windows 10 has less tracking? This is the thing that bothers me the most in general. People are quick to just accept what they think is the popular view of something without experiencing it for themselves. Especially in the day and age of social media people just say things are bad because someone they know watched a video that says it was bad.
Literally, this whole Windows 11 is bad thing started because some tech content creators pointed out that every other version of Windows is bad (which isn't even strictly true) and everyone just agreed with them because they "know what they are talking about". I hold on love for Microsoft, but I also hold no love for Google and Apple because they are corporations and that means you should trust them as far as you can throw them. Windows 11 wasn't even great in the beginning, but I wanted to give it a shot because I wanted the full experience. I wanted to know what I was talking about when I told people not to upgrade. As of right now the general public (e.g. not a bunch of Linux nerds on the Fediverse) are probably fine to use 11. Would I tell people to go out of their way to upgrade? Fuck no. But if a new computer comes with 11 pre-installed they probably wouldn't even notice beyond the taskbar placement.
It is also a constantly moving goalpost that our body never quite figures out. Some days 7 hours of sleep is fine, others you need 10, and your body is really bad at telling you which days need certain amounts of rest.
I want to start out by saying I agree with everything you said, but I want to clarify by pointing out that Valve did trying to have a free floating battery but didn't like how the console felt during testing. While they could have made a compartment I imagine the added weight and bulk (due to the battery shape) would not have been worth it.
There never was intelligent conversation. People mostly used Twitter to talk about the news. Twitter has gotten worse, but it's always been full of L takes.
Yeah, but you can pay a pittance to remove the ads. It's a one time fee of 3.50. Granted it's still proprietary, but I chalk that up to the dev not knowing a lot about FOSS. Both the Sync and Boost devs came from developing Reddit apps and you need more cash flow to pay the proprietary API.
Me when my parents visit me randomly and want me to help with some random project.
