I don't think so. Netflix cracked down on password sharing and it led to an increase in subscriptions.

Everyone here will have to make up their own mind on whether they want to continue using YouTube in this state.

Surely you can quote where the permance of file storage "was the thing they flaunted as a big reason to pay up".

As opposed to Steam, GOG will let you create backups of your games that will survive GOG itself. GOG provides offline backup installers that don't need a launcher, internet or anything.

I always tell everyone to at least get a fully DRM-free copy of their favorite childhood gaming memory.
