  • Trump wins if biden stays. I will vote for potato Biden before Trump, but I literally barely give a shit. The bar is literally so low and the democrats found a way to still struggle against a hated criminal. For the love of GOD, run someone else now. I will vote for anyone other than Trump but the LONG list of people that just want a sane person in there and currently won't vote for either will probably show up if a sentient human was an option.

New candidate, dems win. Sit around and do nothing, Trump wins. His smaller base is passionate. The democrats are pretty underwhelmed and embarrassed of Biden.

  • If you are watching a rom-com about some unrealistic storybook relationship, why wouldn't you want to watch these people in an equally unrealistic financial situation. People watch them to escape reality, not watch more of it.

  • The lack of notes will probably hurt Biden mostly. Trump will go off on crazy tangents, which he does anyway and probably doesn't read notes someone wrote for him ever, it doesn't take more than 3 brain cells to spout off racist shit and get angry people angry. But Biden will say 3 words and forget where he is, that's what they are probably counting on.

Edit: WOW it's fucking crazy how right I was. Keep downvoting.

  • I agree, the main handle you use on the interior and exterior of the vehicle should be PHYSICALLY connected to the latch. Seems like a pretty simple rule to make and enforce and seems pretty common sense.

I have a 61 f100 with shaved doors that only opens electronically from the outside with a fob, but I didn't build it to be a grocery getter with my wife and kids in it. I know the risks. And the hood opens without having to get into the cab so I can easily access the battery if it's dead.

They have laminated glass on the doors. Yes, it can break, but it takes saws to actually open. Having to get through a window to open a door because a battery died is very much a safety issue. Especially with how prone they are to having their batteries catch on fire. Relying in the electrical system or a super secret back up plan on the interior of the car in an emergency is stupid.

  • I can understand why. I'm guessing it's for a couple reasons, maybe fluctuations in the voltage depending on driving conditions ( if you're stomping on the throttle allowing everything to flow through the motors it may provide inconsistent voltage to the sensitive computers and electronics, I would imagine there is a step-down converter somewhere that charges that 12v battery, essentially that battery is used as a buffer. But the link between the big batt. and little batt. isn't active unless the vehicle is on. And "On" requires the 12v system to turn on computers and close a relay.

Doors relying on ANY electronics is a bad idea. Even most cars with keyless entry have a hidden key somewhere to physically get in the vehicle if the battery dies. If the main battery in a tesla is toast you have bigger problems than a locked door. But anyone who has been driving for more than a few years has likely dealt with an OG battery decides to stop taking a charge. And you probably won't get much of a warning in an EV that doesn't have an engine that starts turning over slower and slower.

  • The fucking DOORS require a charged battery? Fuck that. That decision will age great in the next ten years. Not to mention emergency situations where the electrical system is compromised.

  • 2011/12~ ish my wife said "we should build a computer to mine crypto" my answer was "that is dumb, how can some digital ones and zeros be worth any actual cash, it seems like a waste of money to spend thousands on a computer with multiple gpus for something that will never pay for itself."

A couple weeks later I regretted my answer because I could have had a SICK gaming computer. A decade later I regretted it for other reasons and decided to start letting my wife make all the financial decisions.

  • Minus a few things (grapes, garlic, onions, chocolate, etc) dogs share a very close diet to us, that's why we've evolved together for so long. If your dog is suffering and early death because of a few scraps you give them, you likely are too. Also, it's just a cute towel. Don't take it that seriously.

  • I have been carrying a wallet for probably 30 years, other than the one I lost when I was like 15. Iv never lost one either.I do the ol wallet check evertime I leave the room or walk through a crowd like every other man, it would just be nice not to have too. People steal phones reguardless and it sucks. A physical wallet would suck more than my phone in tge long run. Have to not only order and wait for physical replacements, but remember every card in their to shut them off and report them as stolen. If my phone is stolen tge pass code is locked out and tge phone is encrypted. They aren't getting anything anyway. The worst part is replacing the phone. Logging into accounts is the least of the worries.

  • I am far less worried of losing my phone than my wallet. I have eyeballs or my hand on my phone probably every two minutes while I am awake. I use it to navigate and play music in my car. I use it for just about everything at work. I won't forget it at home, or leave it in my car. If I don't have it with me I will know pretty quickly and track my steps. My wallet on the other hand, I will go days without needing it. It is far more likely for me to not realize my wallet is missing than my phone. If I dropped and broke my phone, having to link my ID again is the least of my worries. Thank would be a lot easier than ordering a new physical copy.
